Sunsets in the Bay Area have been amazing due to the fires raging everywhere. The haze and smoke made the sun look absolutely blazing magenta as it started falling towards the horizon. Was cool to see people fishing in the bay as well. 🌅🌇🎣

I was on my way to the store and upon arriving to the Marina, I panicked upon seeing this insane cloud formation - I didn't have my equipment! It's one of the rare times I stopped what I was doing, ran back home to get my gear and quickly ventured back to the bay to try to capture what was a breathtaking, unique cloud formation. I got lucky as it just started to rain after snapping this panorama. 🤯🌧

I cannot get over the architecture of this amazing bridge. I fell in love with this cropped portion and it took awhile for the lighting to feel right. Also bizzare for there to be no traffic in the morning.

Longing for days when I went hiking with my wife. We were out in Shenandoah for a week last year and I got her to feel comfortable enough to pose for a few shots during an amazing sunset and view in the meadows. I'll just call these an impromptu shoot.

I recall when the park ranger said to us, "Eh, sunset won't be that good tonight." Not sure how high his standards were, but it was certainly amazing with the colors and the clouds in the background. Was elated when we got back to our cabin to find how amazing these turned out... The smoky mountains never quit. Looking forward to hiking again soon with this spicy lady. 🌶☀️💗

My wife and I moved to San Francisco at the beginning of the year from Maryland. To sum it up: it has been quite the time to make a major change in both our lives. While here, I felt I had new, huge eyes to observe and experience the energy and sites of The Bay all around me. And then, of course, everything came to a dead-silent stop.

We're entering week four of lockdown and I wanted to share with you all a personal project that documented what happened as soon as the mandate went into effect in San Francisco a few weeks ago. I walked many areas with my camera gear, while keeping in mind social distancing, to see how people and businesses were coping during this difficult time of uncertainty. I welcome you to take a look at the several neighborhoods in the link provided below to see how the local economy in this region was affected and how some businesses innovate to stay open during this crisis - something that really resonates with me. The following are some of my favorite, positive, upbeat messages I've seen that support the community and make some people smile during the deep darkness many of us are affected by. I would also love to hear stories about your experiences and neighborhoods as well.
