I think we needed a little re-brand and re-introduction for all my new-comers lately so had to top it off with some new photos!

Hi, I'm Juli 💜

I’m a Westchester County photographer in the Hudson Valley specializing in families and events. I believe your photos should feel real through candid moments!

👉🏻 I’ve worked with kids my entire life, long before photography. I know how to connect with them, keep sessions relaxed, and turn chaos into beautiful memories.

👉🏻 I don’t just take pictures. I guide you through the entire experience so you never have to wonder what to do, what to wear, or how your kids will behave.

👉🏻 I studied film and communications and turned being told I “had no talent” into a full photography business. Now I also teach photography to kids and adults because I believe creativity deserves encouragement, not criticism.

Hot take..

if your photographer is waiting for the perfect moment to snap a photo of your kids, they're probably rushing you subconciously. and actually missing the best moments

sorry to be a downer but, there is no such thing as a "perfect moment"

kids running around, maybe a tantrum for 18 out of the 20 minutes, bribing with snacks, it happens. it all happens.

"smile!"
"stand there."
"don't move."

WRONG.

ive been working with kids forever in many scenarios so you really think im going to say DONT MOVE? ive learned my lessons there 🫡

what i actually do is simply follow them and theyre lead.

are they checking out that tree? wow! let's go together.

sissy wants to take brobro to jump in leaves? parents, you're going too, i'll follow!

family photos aren't about looking perfect

they are how we create actual memories we want to preserve by acting as if im not even there. now that's perfect to me

If you wait until May for engagement photos…

You miss peak spring.

Between backyard parties, graduations, and family sessions, calendars fill up NOW for May.

So waiting doesn’t give you more options.

If you wait until May to book photos, here’s what really happens:

The spring blossoms are gone.
Everything turns green.
That soft early spring look you wanted? Over.

Your kids don’t look the same anymore.

That missing front tooth is growing back.
That baby face is changing.
That stage you meant to capture already passed.

And here’s the part most parents don’t realize:

May is when photographers book up FAST.

Graduations.
End-of-school milestones.
Recitals.
Family celebrations.

My calendar usually fills in March for May sessions.

So when May arrives, you’re not choosing your ideal date or light — you’re choosing from what’s left.

Spring is short.
Kids change fast.
Photographers don’t have unlimited availability.

That’s just real life.

“Hey… you busy on Wednesday?”

That’s how it started.

No big explanation. No dramatic build-up. Just a casual message that turned into one of the most meaningful shoots I’ve ever done.

A few days later, we were out scouting the spot. Sketching the plan. Digging through snow. Whispering timelines like we were pulling off a heist (except the prize was forever)

Alex had every detail thought out.
McKenna had no idea what was coming.

And when the moment finally happened… it was perfect.

I’ve gotten close to both of them over the years, so being trusted with something this big? That hit different.

Watching someone you care about step into their next chapter and getting to freeze that moment in time is exactly why I do this.

So grateful I got to be part of your story.
