There’s a quiet force shaping our lives every single day… our thoughts.
Throughout the day, we’re constantly choosing—often unconsciously—between thoughts that limit us and thoughts that liberate us. One keeps us small, safe, and stuck. The other expands what’s possible.
I’ve seen this principle play out again and again in my own life.
When I had a crystal-clear vision of what I wanted—when I could see it, feel it, and step into it mentally as if it had already happened—that’s when things started to move. Not magically… but powerfully and intentionally.
The biggest example? My shift from a career in IT staffing to becoming a Headshot Photographer.
If I had listened to the limiting beliefs—my own or others’—I wouldn’t have made the leap. And yes… some people definitely questioned my sanity 🤪. But I held onto the vision. I held to liberating thoughts.
And that brings me to Jenna.
I met Jenna Jansen about 6 years ago during her very first headshot session with me. What stood out immediately wasn’t just her presence—it was her clarity. She had a vision for her life and career that was bold, driven, and deeply grounded. She’s brilliant, fun, caring, and someone who shows up fully—both in her work and for her family.
Jenna doesn’t cling to limiting beliefs. Her thoughts are liberating.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing her family, capturing meaningful moments—including a beautiful father/son portrait with her husband and father-in-law—and then, this past December, we created a new set of Headshots together.
Jenna was coming for new Headshots that represented her vision.
She wasn’t in the new role yet… but she could already see herself there. She could feel it. Leading, thriving, and driving her organization forward.
And now?
She’s officially stepped into that vision as Vice President of Operational Excellence at WellSpan Health.
That’s the power of thought.
See the future before it arrives.
Don’t let fear—or anyone else’s doubt—keep you from what you know is possible. Hold to liberating beliefs.
