Well, after working from home for the last week, I am happy to share that the burst pipe has been repaired and the shop is warm again. The 12 or so inches of snow has been plowed too. What a winter!
I have been pretty good about answering emails and prepping aprons, but not on getting orders out or phone calls answered. Hoping to tend to those today.

Working from home today while awaiting an oil delivery. Plan to be in tomorrow, then we will be closed until January 2nd.
We feel so fortunate to have such great customer support while we learn to navigate without Eddie.
Day by day we are getting better at it.

Greetings!
I wanted you all to know we are doing our best to get orders filled. I have been in touch with many, but not all of you with outstanding orders. I try to get to more each day.
At this time we are focused on the looms and parts orders Eddie had under way. My sons, who both have experience here, have been coming in after work at their jobs and doing amazing work here.
I do want you to know that, until we get caught up, we are not accepting new orders for looms, Ad-A-Harness units, or sectional beams. We are still accepting and filling orders for replacement parts, reeds, aprons, pedal hooks and so on.

Tried to post this. It's important so trying again.
"It is with great sadness we share with our devoted Macomber Family the unexpected passing of our dear Eddie.
Many of you have met and enjoyed talking with Eddie here at our workshop in Maine and at various conferences and shows over the years.
Ed Carbone has been a valued leader of our team here at Macomber Looms since 1974 when he joined us. This was his 50th year with us and we feel as if we have lost a brother and best friend.
At this time we are evaluating the best way forward.
Please be patient as we move through our grief.
If you have an order with us, we will be reaching out personally to talk with you.

For those of you trying to reach us at Macomber's:
We got hit hard from that Nor'easter yesterday(still snowing)
and have no power, no internet and a tree blocking the road.
Here's the best part: I am supposed to fly out tomorrow morning and be gone for the week.
Eddie will be there.
We love you all and will do the best we can under the circumstances.
They have no idea when we'll get power back. I'm using data to send this message but am turning it off after sending. The report is that over 345k people in Maine are without power, 13k right here in York(and there are only 15k of us!)

Well, I came in to the office and found that the email account was at 100%! Anyone that emailed us yesterday afternoon probably had it bounce back. I have cleared space in the memory(again!) this morning. Please try again.

Michael White called this morning to let me know phone messages were not being accepted and emails were bouncing back!
I'm so sorry. I left for two days!
The email was at 100% for some reason. I cleared out some older emails and that should work now. I have yet to figure out what's up with the answering machine. I worked on it last Wednesday and thought I had it straightened out.
I called everyone who had left a message. I will check on it Monday.

Hi Everyone,
Hope your holiday weaving is progressing well.
I am letting you know that I am closing the website temporarily as I get help to update it. We plan to reopen it by the first of the year.
Everything is good here and we are very busy. It has meant that the website has gotten neglected.
We are still accepting and filling orders.

I just had a Monday morning error that I need to correct. The curved side of the pedal on the portable looms goes down, not up! So sorry!

We just had a transformer blow! The power company is coming to fix it, but we were forced to close for now. The answering machine is not working, of course, so please direct questions to [email protected]
I will find a spot with power so I can check them. Apologies!
