.I’ll Paint Myself Out Vol:1
(how to disappear completely)
The hardest thing I did to myself during this depressing episode is Not create, and felt like I needed specific props, wardrobe, etc for it to look perfect and how to financially get to that point, when the truth is I did this set with 1$ paint and a 7$ yard of fabric for a backdrop, in the end it comes down to what are trying to execute— a beautiful image or a story or both? Sometimes the pain we carry is exactly all that, and we need to bleed it out in chapters, the greatest part of being an artist is the desire to communicate with the world while the desire to stay completely hidden,
In this set I wanted to show “Reality vs Instagram” the way I truly feel is depressing at many moments filled with anxiety, so I printed my favorite shots from this set and painted myself over them, my mind, my heart, to be physically part of these shots
(NOTHING WAS PHOTOSHOPPED) after I scanned them this was the end results, I love the idea of the clean images representing what I feel I need to show vs. what I want to show,
It feels amazing to slowly getting back to creating things I’ve put on hold, I can’t wait to continue this mini series and to slowly get back to my projects soon, more importantly I can’t wait to share it all with you! I’ll share a bit of the process in my story as well

.Election Day (New Noise)
Leadership is not about the next election, it’s about the next generation.
The job facing American voters… in the days and years to come is to determine which hearts, minds and souls command those qualities best suited to unify a country rather than further divide it, to heal the wounds of a nation as opposed to aggravate its injuries, and to secure for the next generation a legacy of choices based on informed awareness rather than one of reactions based on unknowing fear.

We should not be held back from pursuing our full talents, from contributing what we could contribute to the society, because we fit into a certain mold, because we belong to a group that historically has been the object of discrimination.
This country DOES NOT belong to Politicians, it belongs to us and WE are worth fighting for!

.Jack’s Lament
There’s a viral photo that makes it’s way back around this time of the year, and I’ve wanted to recreate it for so long and thankfully it made its way to Melissa’s feed, who immediately called me and said we need to somehow make this happen, of course it wasn’t very easy to find a cornfield that was accessible, but very thankful for the owner to allow us to shoot weird s**t at his, these two did such an awesome job btw! .Forever Halloween 🎃

This idea was put together within days, I wanted to test something out so I built this set, made a small pool in my garage, nailed some lights above, and there you have it! .Endlessly, She Said.
I’m Printing a physical portfolio and started re-editing some older photos I love and this one is my favorite so far! Makes me want to Re-edit all of my older stuff! The next photo is how I edited it a couple years ago, I didn’t care much for it but I was being hard on myself at the time and wanted to do what I thought others would appreciate, don’t get me wrong I still find myself thinking that way every now and then but you got to learn to ignore it, except how different we can be, our weirdness, what makes our art us, and more importantly to never change anything about us or our work, in the end it’s selfishly ours so be happy what you create and thank you for doing it.
