Heather Phelps Photography Photography is the art of observation. It is about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. Thanks for dropping by my page!

I have found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. -Elliot Erwitt I hope you enjoy my photography. If you are interested in purchasing a print, metal print, calendar or canvas, shoot me a message!

I highly recommend visiting this beautiful National Park, however if you do, please follow the rules and stay on the paths to avoid further damage to the very sensitive meadows.

Visiting Mt. Rainier is always breathtaking, however I've always wanted to go during Autumn to photograph the fall foliage. This photo was created October 14th. A week later, the scene was under the first snowfall of the season!

Reflection Lakes at Mount Rainier National Park. This photo was created in late June '21 during an unprecedented heatwave leading to an extreme snow runoff. Many who are familiar with Mt. Rainier can't remember a time when she looked so bare. In fact, those climbing to the summit at 14,411 feet could have worn shorts as the temps at summit were in the 60's..!
