It’s not often you get to see a group of wolves come together, greeting each other and interacting — with a bear feeding right alongside them.

Seeing so many animals sharing the same space at the same time made this a pretty special moment to witness.

A special Yellowstone moment.

This gray wolf was making his way through the sagebrush, getting ready to cross the road.

At the same time, bison rut season was in full swing, with bison scattered across the valley behind him.

I was really happy to capture this moment.

The summer heat and the distance made it almost impossible to get a perfectly sharp image—the heat waves were constantly distorting the view.

But sometimes wildlife photography isn’t about getting the sharpest shot. It’s about being there, watching the moment unfold, and bringing home a little piece of the story.

Bison rut season is here! 🦬🔥

It’s always fascinating to watch how much their behavior changes this time of year. Bulls are chasing cows, challenging each other, running around, and showing off their strength.

There’s a whole lot of testosterone, a whole lot of chasing, and definitely a whole lot of drama. 😂

Summer in Yellowstone just got a lot more exciting.

A cool little beaver showed up in the river! 🦫

It was so much fun watching it swim around and go about its day. You never know what might show up when you spend enough time by the water.

Always a nice surprise to see a beaver in Yellowstone!

What do bison do in Yellowstone? 🦬

Eat. Sleep. Cross the road. Block traffic. Roll in the dirt. Scratch on everything. Swim. Fight.

And, of course… make everyone stop and wait. 😂

I was just trying to make a fun little bison reel, but now this song is permanently stuck in my head.
