Never forget...
But we did forget. Somewhere along the line we forgot it all. Thousands of lives were lost that day and we mourned as a country. Now we celebrate a life lost when it belongs to someone that differs from our own color, beliefs and values. We came together unified in our sorrow and disbelief of such horrible tragedy. Now we battle with the same people we once called brother and sister. We were horrified by the death and destruction. But now we're so numb to it, it's posted for our children to see. I don't know when and where we got lost. But we are so lost, it's hard to see the way out. My heart and soul hurts. I'm terrified of the world we have created. And even more, that it could get worse. I don't know what needs to happen to change it. But I do know that I can start in my little piece of this world. I can talk to my little humans. I can speak to them of love and patience and kindness. I can pick up my bible, and remind myself and them of the truth. I can put away my phone and remove myself from the toxic environment that is social media. So that's what I'm going to do. Small changes in our own home can make a big impact. I truly believe that, I have to. I hope and pray we all do the same.
I will still be posting sneak peeks and responding to messages when they come in. Please be patient as it might not be as quick as normal. If you need a quick response, please call or text. Take care of yourself and take care of your family.
