Gone down the Road again but not too far. On most Saturdays, I can hear the races from my house. However, you can really hear it from 20 feet away. The vibrations seem to resonate through your body and the energy transmission was intense!

Rebecca Mills just accomplished one of the grittiest recoveries that I’ve seen during the barrel racing. She didn’t win, but competed throughout adversity and still posted a respectful time—My hat’s off to her.

I captured the entire series of the fall and recover. Drama was an understatement. I could see and hear the slide in the slow motion through the lens. The arena grew increasingly quiet as everybody realized that something bad was going to happen. My camera shutter was the loudest sound as people collectively held their breath. Miraculously, both the Dragon and Rebecca rose from the deck and back on course. The team took 2nd place.

I’d almost forgotten about the crash until she texted me about the images. So, I took a careful look and noticed that there isn’t a grimace, flinch or contoured face from either.

She reports that they’re taking precautions because the horse is a little sore. The rider is relieved.

Flags, Flags and comfortable temperatures made for a wonderful evening. At least for the Bulls and Spectators. The score was Bulls a zillion and the Boys 1.

The American Outlaw Tour in Burbank OH. New places are always a challenge due to lighting, structures and personalities. In this case the Eileen's crew was very accommodating and my camera found some very interesting subjects such as long horn cattle and a post rodeo concert! I hope that they invite me back!
