Breast Cancer Awareness Month - I would like to recognize my friend, Wendy.
I met Wendy through Instagram when she messaged me to offer a "Glow Up" session when I was in Cincinnati. She was so incredibly sweet, compassionate, helpful and most importantly - she made me feel comfortable. She SAW me and wanted to capture my new found love for myself 🙂 🙂

Wendy was diagnosed at the age of 42 with stage 4 breast cancer. A friend had heard about this organization named The Karen Wellington Foundation.

Their mission is to put FUN on the calendar for women recently diagnosed or going through treatment. She nominated Wendy for a gift of FUN and after all the Q&A's they landed on an add-on vacation excursion to go to an authentic luau with her family.

A Fraternity that partners with KWF held a bake sale and raised the funds for her family to be able to enjoy this gift of fun and lift the weight of the diagnosis for just a little bit. And most importantly, gave her something to look forward to on her calendar instead of the several doctor visits full of tests, scans and treatment.
Gifts of fun look different for everyone. From spa days to concerts or sports games and even vacations!

Wendy loved the experience and how it made her feel, and now, she volunteers and gives back as much as possible. From joining gift deliveries, planning connection and wellness activities and events for recipients and even photographing some of their largest fundraising events!

I'm thinking about offering an adult photography class this Winter. Maybe once a month in December, January, February & March. So you'll have options to be able to attend at least one if this is something that interests you.

I just realized I never gave these gems a real feature!

Talking with a friend today who sings at retirement/nursing/assisted living homes and was reliving this wonderful day!

Back Story: A past client approached me with an idea she's seen online about giving her residents a makeover/god-ess session. And boy - did we pull out the stops! We had hair and makeup with my girl, Aligned Beauty & Makeup Artistry Amber & Co. We had music going on and a whole big assortments of garments and crowns for them to choose from and different backdrops to really let them have some fun!

I would 100% do this over and over again! The laughter and smiles and pure JOY we had that day will truly be remembered. I'm so happy that Theresa trusted me with her vision and gave me the opportunity to be a part of this!

We traveled the West Coast this summer and took some landscape photos from Seattle to San Fran. Actually, I would like to start offering prints/images for sale. I've tinkered with this idea for awhile now but haven't come up with the best way to do so.

Shortly after we returned I had a client reach out to me because she was remodeling their bedroom and was looking for a piece of wall art that would compliment the look.
She wanted to support local and reached out to me with me her inspo design and asked if I had anything that would fit the look.

I was so glad that I had some options for her! Can you guess which one she picked? I'll post her inspo and the real deal after I get some votes ;)

Wonder who's walls will be next??
