The most humbling part of being a wedding photographer and videographer?

Knowing that my couples had a choice.

Out of all the photographers and videographers they could have trusted, they found my work, connected with my style, and decided I was the person they wanted there for one of the biggest days of their lives.

That never gets lost on me.

Every wedding day is an honor. Being invited into those moments, trusted with those memories, and given the responsibility of preserving them is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

To every couple who has chosen me, thank you. I don’t take it for granted.

Your wedding rehearsal is not just a quick walk-through.

It’s your chance to catch the little things before they become wedding-day problems.

Practice the processional with your actual ceremony music. Decide where parents and grandparents will sit. Figure out who has the rings, who takes the bouquet, and what happens with the dress.

And yes, practice the first kiss. 😅

Go over the vows, readings, microphones, unity ceremony, officiant cues, and recessional too.

One thing couples often forget? What happens right after the recessional. Have your officiant tell guests where to go next so everyone knows what’s happening.

A good wedding rehearsal makes your wedding ceremony feel much smoother, and it gives your wedding party a clear idea of what to expect on the big day.

Still thinking about this Park Savoy wedding day.

The kind of wedding exit every couple hopes for.

Big smiles, happy tears, and everyone celebrating right alongside them after their Church of the Holy Family ceremony.

My favorite part of being a wedding photographer will always be making time for portraits like these.

Grateful because my work day is the best day of someone’s life.

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that.

On a wedding day, I get to walk into a room where everyone is feeling something. The excitement, the nerves, the happy tears, the hugs, the laughter.

For my couples, it’s the day they’ve been planning and looking forward to for months or even years.

For me, it’s a reminder of how meaningful this job really is.

I get to preserve the moments they’ll look back on when they want to remember exactly how it felt to be there.

To every couple who has trusted me with their wedding day, thank you. It’s an honor I never take for granted.

A 10 hour wedding timeline should feel calm, not crammed.

When there is enough space in the day, you get better photos and a better experience.

You have time for getting ready moments, family portraits, couple portraits, ceremony coverage, reception details, golden hour, and the real moments that happen in between.

The goal is not to photograph every second. The goal is to create a wedding photography timeline that lets you actually enjoy the day while still preserving what matters.

I knew I had a favorites problem before I even opened the gallery.

Before editing, before culling, before the final touches, some frames already had that feeling.

The kind you remember taking. A little motion blur, a little chaos, quiet glances, packed dance floors, happy tears, and the moments that felt too good to miss.

I was right.

This exit was full of life. Bubbles everywhere, people packed in close, and Alena & Shawn right in the middle of it.

I love how much this frame holds. The movement, the laughter, the faces around them, all happening at once.

A quieter part of the day. Everyone standing still, the flowers in her hands, and the two of them fully present at the altar.

A little space to breathe. A portrait inside the church and a quiet moment at Westmount before the room filled back up again.

The details had so much texture. The florals, the rings, the perfume, the outfits, and all the pieces that made the day feel personal.

This portrait felt strong and simple. Just the two of them, dressed for the night, looking calm and completely together.

The veil gave us the softest little pocket of light. I love how these feel close without feeling too posed.

The reception had drama in the best way. Low fog, bright lights, and a room that gave them the space to have that moment.

Then the night opened up. Cake cutting, dancing, hands in the air, and everyone fully in it with them.

I always love ending with a frame like this. Quiet, close, and simple after a day that had so much energy.

That line has been sitting with me lately.

Looking back at all the weddings I’ve photographed and filmed this year, I’m reminded why wedding photography and videography matter so much.

A wedding day moves fast. The room fills, the music starts, people are hugging, laughing, crying, dancing, and before you know it, the night is over.

But photos and films let you come back to it.

Not just how everything looked, but how it felt to be there.

The people who showed up for you.
The details you chose so carefully.
The quiet seconds you almost missed.
The celebration that became part of your family story.

That is what I’m most grateful for.
