I recently took a trip to DC to celebrate a beautiful lady. On our last day there, I was up early and got to take in a very peaceful sunrise and a whole bunch of monuments in the quiet of the morning. I really love the city of DC. The architecture, the history. . . so much to love. It was the first week of the shutdown so we missed a lot of our tours, but there was plenty to keep us busy. My favorite was the Museum of Art, I could have spent days there. Chad and I have talked frequently about what artists impressed us, new artists we learned about and the difference of seeing some of the masterpieces in person vs in a book. If you have the opportunity to go, do it. The city was beautiful. And it was very safe, I never once felt uneasy. Also, please pray for our Senate and Congress to get this nonsense shutdown over. People are hurting, they still have bills to pay and mouths to feed. Grow up everyone and do your jobs!

And my final couple for a little bit. This couple is special. They have both been through a lot. They have faced life and endured a lot of challenges before finding each other. Shannon and Levi, thank you for sharing these moments with me. I have watched Shannon go through heartbreak and watched Levi's parents navigate being great parents even after a divorce. May you both bring all the positive and painful lessons of life together to form a beautiful union.
