Nice to have a double bill at Vincent's when my original plans fell through.
Demetri and I had made plans to go to the DOOM Fest that was outdoors at Ralphs. We arrived when the 1st band was on stage but were DENIED entrance. D doesn't drive and had only an expired driver's licence on him and the bouncer wouldn't budge. We couldn't believe that two guys ready to rock, both over 50, were not allowed to pay $25 to stand in a corral in the parking lot of Ralphs because of an ID.
We went to V's to regroup and Bees Deluxe were playing D had a beer and we started to make a plan and ran into Dan Bungee and find out Troy is playing so we stuck it out for the 1st set.
Nice to hang out with D, all the regulars & meet the new guys in the band, chat to Cold Moon Arts Events about upcoming flea events...

15 years of the WEEKLY Tuesday night residency has come to an end. Don't fret , Jon & Co. will still have a monthly Tuesday night here ! Good to see fans & friends and fellow musicians show up and celebrate the music with the band.

Sunday night early show at the radio station. Comfortable space with pro lights and sound. More of a listening room but they did have some dancers to Jubilee Gardens hypnotic and lush sounds. One long set of original material from a gifted songwriter and his talented group of friends.
Gang of Three was fun as well with original arrangements of covers of the Beatles, garage, classic rock and an always welcome cover of Lou Reed's "Perfect Day"

Back in the city to catch Lynn & the L-Jays. I like their multi-decade set list, great vocalists and harmonies, and rocking band.
Hung outside to catch the late band and was treated to some chicago style straight ahead blues. As I was about to pack it up Bob Moon came in with the whole family celebrating his birthday and ended up staying out back with them smoking, chatting about music & life...

Fun day at the park with art, music, culture, and Kites!
It was grey and hardly a breeze but lots of fun flying and people watching. The 15' kite was gorgeous and watching the process of the unveiling. Good to see some familiar faces and chatting with Jennessa Art about the process and the progress on the wall mural. Fun photo adventure!

Bridget Eileen Nault hosts an open mic every Thursday night in Worcester at a hidden brewery behind the old Rotman's. Nice space serving their own beers and food. Energetic host who kept it all moving with no breaks, welcoming to players of any skill level and genres, and supportive players and friendly fans.
Mark Belanger gets my nod of the night for including some songs that you wouldn't expect to hear here like Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love" and the Buzzcock's "What do I get".

Closer to home I made one last stop in Southbridge to see Briezyjane & the Hurricanes. Talented musicians with a full set of originals by Brie Green, beautiful songs and that perfect weather held out for the whole show. Nice chatting with Rick, running into PaulZ, Gracie & Joel, and Kevin and even got enlisted by Shelly Klein to play kickball in the park with her grandkids!

Perfect weather for a event at the museum in their outdoor courtyard with Friends of Coop providing the music. Long lines for beer from Treehouse, a human statue, a cute ice cream truck by Breez Freez and FREE admission to the whole museum.

Well attended event to showcase the arts.

Vincent's had a Flea Market out back and it drew an eclectic crowd of vendors and shoppers and live music by Morgan Alyse Stabile and Chris Houston. Lots to look at, friendly folks, and I even got a tarot reading from .
