We just learned of the unexpected passing of a good friend’s Dad today and are being reminded of just how fragile life can be at times.

We had an amazing time with family in Maine this past week, and had the opportunity to do a family photo session while we were away.

I responded to a post I saw in a Wells, Maine Facebook group, and it turns out, we live just 20 minutes away from each other in MA, but were in Maine the same week!

This was our first time blending vacation with work… and we LOVED it and will be offering sessions in Maine in the future.

Jim’s family has been vacationing in Wells for decades, which was something we both had in common.

While taking photos is still “work,” technically, it brings us so much joy to connect with other families and capture their memories.

We hope you enjoy their photos as much as we enjoyed taking them. 🌊

We had a lot of fun with this group of adult siblings with their spouses.

After living near each other for most of their life, one of the siblings was moving South, so they asked us to do a family photo shoot on their property as a way to commemorate this chapter before they left.

It was so fun to see them all together, having fun and joking, like siblings do!

We take our jobs seriously, but love to make having your photos taken fun!

We made a pretty epic wall calendar this year, featuring photos from our trip to Glacier National Park and other parts of Montana.

We had an incredible time exploring (we covered over 2,000 miles) and hope that our photos do this incredible park justice.

Traveling and seeing new sights is one of our favorite things (we are a big fan of experiences), and sharing our adventures is a close second.

Each photo is worthy of being a stand-alone print, but we put them on a calendar for year-long viewing.

Thank you to CityWide Solutions for having us capture your holiday party! 🌲🎁🥂 We even saw some familiar faces that were a nice blast from the past. Photographing events keeps us busy in the colder months and we were grateful to be with this fun bunch tonight!

Capturing family photos since 2019…

Facebook just reminded us of these photos we took of our friends getting their tree 6 years ago.

When we first started out, we used our friends and family as models to practice our skills out on before we took any paid shoots.

Fun fact: Jim was primarily a landscape photographer prior to meeting Kate and enlisting her as an assistant photographer. Go check him out . He’s the more advanced and technical of the two of us and taught Kate her way around a camera. Kate has a great natural eye and creative vision, as well as a business mindset.

As the year comes to an end, it’s a great time to reflect on where you’ve been.

As a small business, we want to take a moment to express our thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all of our clients that we’ve met this year and beyond.

A lot of our friends have become clients and after capturing some families for several years in a row — our clients have started to feel more like friends. 🫶🏼

As a husband and wife team, we are incredibly grateful that we get to do what we love.

We still have moments where it hits us that we *get* to capture joy, love and share your stories through photos.

Seeking Spirit is a dream come true for both of us; a shared vision that came to life organically after we met and puts our best skills to use.

We both wear other hats and have other roles and titles, but photography is the thing we do together that truly is a shared passion. It brings us so much joy to see your families grow year after year.
