Autumn fog dancing along Island Pond.

Imagine waking up to this autumn view in October.

This is exactly the view one of my friends gets to wake up to after fulfilling her dream to move to Vermont last December. She invited me and Whitney Shaw to visit her place while we were up north last weekend. We visited twice - once at midday and then went back for this golden hour shot.

A true hidden autumn gem. So lucky to get to experience the quiet peace of this remote location and so happy for my friend. It is absolutely beautiful.

A classic Vermont autumn scene.

Finally made it to Peacham for the first time and can see why this spot brings folks back to it every year. Such a beautiful scene. Thanks to Whitney Shaw for making a second trip to this spot so I could photograph it.

Happy October! Today’s sunrise was a perfect way to start the month.

I decided to try another car trail scene, which is a bit harder to do at 6:15 in the morning. Most folks were apparently still sleeping or enjoying their morning coffee. Luckily a few cars and buses passed by. This was my favorite car trail shot so thanks to the early bird that turned out of a side road this morning.

Sunrise from an early September trip to Maine with Halee Day Burg.

The first shot is a 25 second exposure to smooth out the water.

I have a few more September sunrise and sunset shots to share, so I’ll post those over the next week.
