What a dreamy maternity session that unfolded 🌸🌿 I often received a common question What if my toddler doesn’t cooperate? My answer is and always will be the same…..let them be kids. I believe in embracing their natural personalities rather than forcing them into perfect poses.

Instead of stressing over smiles or stillness I focus on capturing the beautiful raw moments that truly matter. For this session I brought along a couple of toys hoping they would spark joy and playfulness in the little girl while her parents got some pictures for the camera. Yet as with all great adventures things didn’t go exactly as planned and that’s okay! The unexpected moments turned out to be the most raw moments that can’t be forced. I managed to capture genuine interactions and laughter as they unfolded in real time. So to all the parents out there don’t let worries about your toddlers place fear for getting sessions with your kids while they are this young. I promise to capture moments that you’ll cherish forever. All you need to do is show up and be yourselves. Congratulations Lauryn and her family in becoming a family of 4. I was so amazing getting to capture this moment with them. ❤️

Have you ever had a date that didn’t feel like a photoshoot? Well this couple just experienced one! It wasn’t about forcing poses it was all about capturing their genuine emotions. Custom date experience sessions are perfect for shy couples because they allow you to engage in activities that reflect both your personalities without the pressure of creating the “Perfect Pinterest Moment.” I guided them with lighthearted prompts but also encouraged them to chat naturally to help ease any anxiety. The laughter you see is completely authentic with Cam and Meg sharing genuine jokes and having fun during the session making it feel relaxed and comfortable. I truly adore this couple. They are close friends and this session marks the beginning of my focus on creating custom date experiences.

Why do I not offer “packages” anymore? Well after a lot of praying and thinking I don’t want my sessions to feel like a purchase but an experience. An experience my clients will remember. My sessions are detailed in a way it doesn’t feel like a session but a date experience. I got rid of my packages and made experince date sessions that are tailored to you and your significant other. Im starting to lean more towards documentary/storytelling rather than forced posing.This was the best decision I have made for my clients and business. This session is a little different than what I normally do. I have done graduation photos before but not in a documentary style till now. This session I was able to document this big accomplishment in Carolyn’s life. She is graduating here soon from OSU with a PHD!! That is a huge accomplishment. A 5 year degree is not easy but she did it! I’m so grateful I was given the opportunity to document this part in her life.

EXPECTING MOTHERS💙💕

This year I made a bucket list of shoot ideas that I wanted to do this year. One of them is a dreamy maternity session. I don’t want the “typical” photoshoot I want to document this special part in your life.I’m thinking a documentary field vibe,barefoot,sun soaking on skin,documenting the moment before your life changes (not in bad way). I’m looking for a couple of expecting mothers with significant other if needed for May or June. I have very limited spots left for May but June is filling up as well.

This isn’t just a session…. If you are looking for just beautiful photos this isn’t it.. I’m looking for raw, natural,storytelling kind of session. These photos will be passed down for grandchildren to see the love you have for you baby. Can you believe these moments didn’t make it to my grid until today…. It’s common for photographers myself included to overlook the real moments captured on wedding days when posting because they don’t fit the ideal image. Why are we not showing how we are capturing the tears of a great aunt or the playful antics of groomsmen that make the day unique? We often gravitate towards posting that picture-perfect shot hoping for a lot of likes but I believe in showcasing what truly unfolds on wedding days. It’s those small genuine details that contribute to making your wedding the best day ever. These moments frozen in time are irreplaceable. While we may forget some of these little details. My goal as a photographer is to preserve them forever. So enjoy these photos not seen!

This session almost didn’t happen well for this location. It all began when there was a mix-up on the day of the shoot forcing us to get it fixed for the following day. To make matters more challenging the location we had chosen required pre-approval and I only had 24 hours to secure it. I found myself scrambling to arrange for approval and put together a backup plan.

After driving over an hour to reach the venue I held onto hope and prayed that everything would work out. This location is incredibly special for Victoria, the bride-to-be. By the grace of God we gained access and I couldn’t be more grateful for the outcome of the session. All my worries melted away once I realized we had made it work.

Allow me to introduce Victoria and Zach this stunning couple just look at them!!!! They are set to tie the knot in June! I’m thrilled that they trusted me to capture their beautiful love during the session. I can’t wait for the wedding day!
