If you’ve been thinking about hitting the circus in Woonsocket, this is your sign to stop thinking and go. It’s the last weekend before they pack up the tents, load the elephants (there’s no elephants or any other animals), and roll out of town. After Sunday, the only thing left will be potholes and regret. Grab the kids, grab your sanity, grab whoever needs a night out, and get there before the big top disappears.

I visited Dunn Park, which I hadn’t been to in a while, and it looks great. One of the new features is a mini-pitch court. This mini-pitch is one of two being constructed in Rhode Island; the other one is near Pawtucket’s Jenks Middle School. The two mini-pitches are partially funded by Centerville Bank in collaboration with Project GOAL, a non-profit organization established in 2004. Project GOAL’s mission is to promote youth advancement through soccer programs. They aim to integrate soccer training with tutoring to support the academic, personal, and social development of young individuals.

Wow, what an absolute monster of a storm we just got hit with in Woonsocket! ❄️🌨️ This unprecedented blizzard dumped historic amounts of snow on our city and left us all digging out from something we haven’t seen in decades.
To the incredible men and women of the Woonsocket Department of Public Works (DPW) — you guys absolutely crushed it! Working through brutal conditions, non-stop plowing, salting, and clearing roads so we could stay safe and get back to some kind of normal as quickly as possible… your hard work and dedication didn’t go unnoticed.
Thank you for the long hours, the tireless effort, and for keeping our streets passable in the middle of chaos. You’re the real heroes of this Blizzard of 2026! 💪🚜❤️
Shoutout to everyone out there still shoveling and helping neighbors too — we’ve got this Woonsocket Strong! Stay warm, stay safe, and let’s hope spring shows up soon. ☃️
