It’s a tale as old as time…. Color, or black and white? There are times where I shoot photos in the moment seeing for black and white and using camera setting to reflect that. Other times, I see color but then, out of love for B&W, change it up… Kelsiy is a gorgeous bride in both settings, but which one would YOU choose?

The state Capitol did not disappoint, even on a terribly stormy day in April. What a joy it is to serve couples starting the rest of their lives together. Praying for them, getting to know them, support them, and photograph cherished memories is such a pleasure for us!

Dreaming of wildflowers am waiting on Spring….
For Whitney’s wedding, she just went into her own neighborhood and collected wildflowers to line tables and have decor pieces for her wedding. Adding small bud vases she sourced from thrift stores and her personal collection make the tables feel so beautiful and delicate. I loved her creative spark and the willingness to allow the flowers to be whatever they found roadside. Would you do something like this for your wedding?

One thing we love to do with every couple is the “end of the night” photo. We say goodbye to the wedding and plan the shot reflective of their experience of the day and what the couple wants to remember when they look at this moment captured like time in a bottle.

Ashley and Kyle’s photo says they danced a ton. Kyle tossed off his tux jacket, say by to the bow tie and his crisp button down. We love that he kept his suspenders and added the sneakers. Ashely changed her dress, and added matching sneakers as well. She’s been dancing a storm and her hair had fallen so it was in a messy bun. It was last call at the bar so the bartender slipped her one last drink for the night.

Just after this photo, they exited the wedding for an after party at a nearby hotel on the roof. And this photo is one of their favorites from their wedding day.
