fall sessions are in full swing! kudos to this family of six who came ready to rock and roll. 20 minutes was all we needed to capture updated family portraits.

faq: what exactly is a sitter session?

it’s designed to capture that fun stage when your baby is sitting independently, but hasn’t quite started walking yet. not a newborn, but not quite yet a toddler, typically around 6 - 9 months.

these are all about capturing the personality that’s starting to really shine through — the smiles, the curiosity, the chubby little rolls, the tiny details and all those sweet expressions that change by the day.

i keep these relaxed, playful and baby-led, with my main focus on baby but incorporate little moments with parents, too.

sitter sessions are included in my first year package, but can also be booked separately. we can capture at-home, outdoors or in a studio space. this stage is so fleeting — and one day, you’ll be glad you documented it.

the gasp i gasped when i received the email sharing that my work was chosen to be featured in the fall issue of Heartful Magazine was next level.

to have an image of mine selected out of more than 10,000 submissions (!!) still blows my mind. not to mention these images were thoughtfully curated by mastermind family photographer and editor Brooke Schultz - Creativity 🌟 + team.

what an absolute honor it is to be featured alongside so many talented family photographers from around the world that i deeply admire.

this magazine has been a huge source of inspiration to me through the years - it showcases emotive imagery that celebrates those family photos that really make you FEEL something, that are more than just posed, “1-2-3 smile at the camera” moments.

THANK YOU brooke for what you’ve created for family photographers and all who appreciate the beauty of the stories we tell. beyond grateful to be a small part of it all!

five fall sessions at five different locations 🤎🍁🍂✨ a few things i want you to know about my fall family sessions — whether it’s a 20-minute mini or a full, hour long session.

i will always take the lead of your children! they do not, i repeat they do not, need to be perfectly behaved and smiling perfectly for the camera. honestly, i prefer if they don’t. i want them to have FUN, to run, to play, to chase, to snuggle, to giggle and be silly. i want your kids to be kids and i want to document them just as they are 💕

you don’t have to know what to do in front of the camera — i will prompt and guide.

the in-between moments are my favorite and when i can capture the most candid and authentic expressions.

i want you to wear what’s comfortable and feels like YOU. i provide style inspiration and guidance but you know your family best and what they’ll be most comfy in!

i’ve heard all of the “what if’s.” but i’ve also heard the “oh my god i’m so happy we did this” and the “i’ll cherish these forever” and the “i can’t believe i almost didn’t book a newborn session”. trust me when i say, newborn photos don’t have to be perfect 🤍

i actually don’t want them to be. your baby can cry. your baby can be awake the entire session. your toddler can run wild. your house can be lived in. you can show up exhausted and completely unsure of what you’re doing.

because that’s real life and that’s exactly what i’m here to photograph.

my newborn sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and focus on the connection between you and your people — the tiny details, the big feelings, and all the beautifully imperfect moments in between.

and off they go to toddlers and 3’s! my mama heart aches knowing that these special little versions of them will be long gone by the end of the school year, but i’m so proud of who they are becoming. can’t wait to watch them shine — grateful for our wonderful preschool and the community and friendships it’s given us. 💛✏️📚🍎
