No one talks about this part of being a working mom.
Five days a week…
we get the tired version of our kids.
The version that’s already had a full day.
The version that’s overstimulated.
The version that melts down over the smallest things because their little hearts are just… done.
But the part people forget?
Mom is tired too.
She’s been working.
Solving problems.
Carrying responsibilities.
Holding the mental load of an entire household.
And then the evening begins.
Dinner.
Baths.
Laundry.
Cleaning up the day.
Getting everything ready to do it all again tomorrow.
All in the small window between walking in the door and bedtime.
And sometimes those hours are messy.
Sometimes patience runs thin.
Sometimes everyone is just… exhausted.
But even in the hardest part of the day…
working moms still show up.
With hugs.
With bedtime kisses.
With “tell me about your day” conversations while packing lunches for tomorrow.
It might not look like the peaceful version of motherhood people imagine.
But love is still there.
Sometimes love just looks like
two tired people needing each other at the end of the day.
If you’re a working mom doing your best in those hard evening hours… I see you. ❤️
