Meet the face behind the camera!

I'm Kelly Lynn Jordan, owner and lead photographer of KLJ Studios. Photography has always been about more than taking pictures for me—it's about preserving the moments that matter most before they become memories.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of photographing hundreds of families, children, seniors, and professionals throughout Woodland and beyond. My passion is helping people see themselves the way their loved ones see them—beautiful, confident, and worthy of being celebrated.

Whether I'm creating a magical themed session for a child, capturing the love between generations, or designing artwork that will hang on a family's wall for decades, my goal is always the same: to create an unforgettable experience and timeless portraits you'll treasure for a lifetime.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, supporting local arts programs, creating new photography concepts, or dreaming up the next magical experience for our clients. ✨

Beginning **Saturday, June 13th**, we'll be accepting applications for our **Shimmer & Sparkle Model Sessions**. These magical portrait experiences will be available throughout the month of **July** and are perfect for children who love sparkle, wonder, and a little extra magic.

Think glittering lights, dazzling details, and portraits that capture the joy and excitement of summer fireworks—all without the noise.

We're looking for a limited number of models to help us showcase this brand-new experience before opening full booking availability.

One of the most common questions we hear at KLJ Studios is:

**"What should we wear?"**

Our biggest tip: **Coordinate, don't match.**

Instead of everyone wearing the exact same color, choose a color palette that complements one another. Mixing colors, textures, and layers creates a more natural, timeless look while allowing each family member's personality to shine through.

Some family portrait color combinations we love:

Creams and soft neutrals
Blues and denim tones
Earthy greens and warm browns
Soft pastels for a light, airy feel

Avoid large logos, busy patterns, and neon colors, which can draw attention away from what matters most—you and your family.

The best outfit choice is one that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and like yourselves. Those authentic connections are what create portraits you'll treasure for generations.
