Mountain Folk Photography We love the idea of less props and more real life experience in our pictures - families playing together, or being active together.

We are home spun, small town, mountain folk with a love of simple moments captured forever ... we are interested in photography's ability to let us meet new people and create tangible memories for them as well. I have recorded videos, written paragraphs and planned posts to explain why I just can’t seem to stay present on this platform. And then I remembered that it doesn’t matter. There will always be people who choose to misunderstand you, misrepresent you or forget you all together. And that’s ok. Every day you just choose the life you want, and you work in that direction. I’m still doing this thing I love (photographing) consistently and it affords me an incredible perspective on relationship building, determination, self awareness and connection. Even if the connection is just a window of time with a sweet and spunky senior in high school. Lucky me.

Mothers are powerful. Strong, dedicated, exceptional. All of those things together create beauty; and only that kind of beauty can build, mold and fortify worlds. That’s the sacred truth of existence. We are all essential to life; in the ways we are intentional and the ways we are not … the ways we move, illuminate and experience energy. Within our minds and bodies we harbor pathways of love and truth; vestiges of a life that seems to be dwindling but can still be found deep within us. Creation is always happening and mothers are the center of it all. •
