Got a nice email this morning saying I'm a 2023 Best of Houzz Photography Winner. I love being a creative in both the visual and audio fields!

My interior design / architectural photography is naturally what has been featured on Houzz but to me each photo also represented a mini travel trip into different worlds. Showcasing beautiful environments through photography, indoors or out, is a great pleasure of mine!

I present, my Snow in Joshua Tree National Park 2019 Photo Collection. I took an impromptu photo trip out to the park just to finally capture the park with snow on the ground - something in all my years of going to the park I had managed to miss. Day 1 photos were taken with an overcast sky, the next morning the sun was out.

Chickpeas and Mediterranean couscous dish. Photos show the final result and some of the steps it took to get there. It was delicious! Second dish, figgy balsamic pork chops. I was cook, stylist, photographer...and one of the satisfied consumers of the dishes.

I've long been a fan of Jimmy Chin's work, and was able to meet and chat with him at the first Outdoor Photogaphy Show in Salt Lake City some years ago. As a climber, I also know that he has some serious pro level chops. Congrats to the Free Solo Crew!
