At Bush Park in Salem, a very special native wildflower: Camassia quamash is in bloom beneath the canopy of Oregon White Oak! Camassia was harvested by Native Americans as a staple food source, which was roasted and mashed. The bulb is similar to an onion, both are in the lily family. Natalie and I wore gowns meant to blend with the rich inky indigo flowers. Natalie is wearing a cotton floral gown blending purple and blue tones edged in black venetian lace. I am wearing my lilac lavender dupiani silk gown with floral lace trim. Both of us are also in chiffon blouses. All of the clothing we are wearing I created and are available to be worn!
