Yesterday's 2026 Bride & Weddings Cake Off at Sweeney Barn was delicious!

First off I love eating cake and it was a great opportunity to meet new people. We attend networking events to meet fellow wedding vendors and build connections so we can hopefully work together in the future.

The amazing cakes, cupcakes, and cookies were beautifully made, and the taste matched the presentation. The Ramen Bar paired perfectly with the desserts.

The 8 contestants did an outstanding job. Couples looking for their wedding cake vendor should check out the following bakers.

What attracted us to photo and video? Well, we chose it because it was the best option when we joined the military. Now, it allows us to learn more about people we wouldn't usually meet in our day-to-day lives.

What does community mean to you?

For us it's hard asking for help. But we knew we weren’t at 100% and still wanted to show up for the couple who trusted us with their special day. Paul Cole and Hazelwood were there with no questions asked, even if it meant driving an hour or more to be there.

The Intentional Layers: Palette & Palate Event was amazing on Sunday. It rained like cats and dogs, but it was worth getting a little wet to attend. This was a fashion, champagne, florals, and networking event. The food was delicious, and the florals that accompanied each pour were a beautiful experience. It was great to chat and meet new people over wonderful food and drinks.

As a photographer, I'm used to being behind the camera and being a fly on the wall to capture events. With each networking event, I'm learning to find and use my voice while meeting new people that I hope to collaborate with one day.

No matter the name you give them: father, dad, or another, they taught us so much and continue to do so.

So thank you to all the men out there who helped raise us, show us what it means to stand in our own two feet, but don't hesitate to step back in when we need it. Happy Father's Day.
