I swear I make me a new lil best friend at almost EVERY shoot

Parents be all worried about the kids smiling, sitting still and cooperating… meanwhile me and the kids done became homies 15 mins in

ATP I need to start doing a photo pickin ** pizza party** so they can pick their favorite pictures together and we can chill lol!

Kids don’t need to be perfect for me to get the shot… let ’em be kids. I got the rest.

How did I NOT know this was in Fredericksburg?! 😭📸

First time shooting at Cove City Studios and it will NOT be my last. The space is gorgeous, the location is perfect, plenty of props and furniture to work with… and then I saw the Nespresso machine. 😂☕️ Listen, I’m tired of seeing that lil dusty Keurig… THIS impressed me! 😭👏🏾

And the owner?! 10/10. He literally came out and steamed my client’s shirt for us. THAT’S service!

They also rent the space for small events, classes, content days and more. If you’re looking for a photography studio or creative space in Fredericksburg, VA, look them up on Peerspace. Definitely recommend! 👏🏾

07.31.26 💟 Steve + Brittney

Now THIS one was special. 🥹

I’ve known Steve since we were kids, that’s always been my homie!! I met Brittney a few years later, and she was always bad but somewhere along the way sis turned into a whole fashion icon 😂😍 Every time I see her she looks like she just stepped out of a magazine. Always put together, always giving a LOOK. High five Steve… you got you one playa 😂👏🏾

So when these two got together, I was like wait… this actually makes PERFECT sense.

And watching them over the years has been beautiful. The trips, the events, the family memories… they LIVE. They enjoy each other, they enjoy life, and they don’t miss a beat. They really have a beautiful love story. 🤍

So being asked to photograph their wedding after photographing their family over the years meant more to me than they probably know.

And one of my FAVORITE parts? They surprised their guests with a full portrait experience. 📸✨

Listen, a Photo Booth is fun… but a professional portrait when you’re already dressed to the NINES?! That’s timeless. And EVERYBODY came ready! 😮‍💨🔥

From their son’s speech to the vows, laughs, tears and love… the whole night just felt like THEM.

Steve really married his homie. That’s the part. 🤍

And they got us out at a reasonable hour?! 😂👏🏾 10/10 wedding. No notes.

From the welcome party the night before to the actual expo, WHAT A WEEKEND! 😮‍💨🖤

You know the welcome party is official when you can see people still partying in the windows of their hotel rooms! 😂🔥 A time was definitely had!

Then came the expo: 150+ vendors, 5,000+ people registered, lines LONG, bags in hands, food trucks BUSY 😂👏🏾 and I swear I didn’t see a sad face the entire time. The energy was just AMAZING!

Getting to hear Pinky Cole talk about bankruptcy being just a chapter because she ain’t done!! Then David Banner came in with his high, amazing energy and got everybody excited! That man knows how to work a crowd! 🙌🏾 He also spoke about letting go, letting God, and being the happiest he’s ever been… both of those messages were needed and received!

Being trusted to capture all of this for the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce was truly an honor 📸🖤

If you missed it this year… don’t make that mistake next year. 😂

Step one is DONE. 📸

I wasn’t gonna stay down forever… I just didn’t think God would move this fast 🥹🤍

The lens I wanted was already sold, but I’m not even mad because I truly believe what’s meant for me won’t miss me.

For now, I got a great deal and the Canon R6 is back where it belongs… in my hands. 📸😭 I’ll keep renting the lens until the right lens comes along.

God has been reminding me over and over that even when I can’t see the plan, He’s already working it out.

This camera is more than just a purchase.. it was answered prayer.

One step at a time.

Go read your insurance policy TODAY. And if you don’t understand what you’re reading, throw that thing in ChatGPT and let it break it down for you.

Last week they got me. My Canon camera. My Canon 24-70. My Godox flashes… man, they got me. 💔

I’m so thankful for District Camera and LensRentals because I still have jobs coming up and they’ve helped me keep showing up for my clients. But if I’m being honest… I’m tired. Tired of renting. Tired of working this hard and feeling like every time I get a little ahead, something knocks me back down.

I know God’s got me. I know His Word says all things work together for my good. I believe that with everything in me… I just can’t see it yet.

So if there’s one thing you do today, check your insurance. Don’t wait until something happens to find out what is and isn’t covered.

Learn from me so you don’t have to learn the hard way…

Two days. Two events. Countless connections. 👏🏾

Beyond the Clock and GovCon reminded me why I love being part of the VABCC.

Last week I got to photograph a networking event for the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce and I genuinely LOVE events like this 🥹👏🏾

Not just because I get to be around other small business owners, but because of the ENERGY in the room. Everybody excited about their business ventures, making connections, sharing ideas, supporting each other… it’s really just a feel good atmosphere every single time. And the ice breaker games always somehow tie back into business and networking which I actually love lol.

Also… little shoutout to ME because ya girl is officially the new in-house photographer for the VABCC 🥹📸 and listen… I didn’t even ask for the position, I was secretly praying for it lol. Ernisha told me they’ve had people ask before but they specifically wanted to work with me and that honestly meant so much.

I already cannot WAIT for the next Beyond the Clock networking event in Richmond this Thursday 👏🏾✨

And if you haven’t heard of the VABCC yet, look them up ASAP. If you’re a business owner and not a member yet, I definitely suggest looking into becoming one!
