Beyond the Clock and GovCon reminded me why I love being part of the VABCC.

Last week I got to photograph a networking event for the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce and I genuinely LOVE events like this 🥹👏🏾

Not just because I get to be around other small business owners, but because of the ENERGY in the room. Everybody excited about their business ventures, making connections, sharing ideas, supporting each other… it’s really just a feel good atmosphere every single time. And the ice breaker games always somehow tie back into business and networking which I actually love lol.

Also… little shoutout to ME because ya girl is officially the new in-house photographer for the VABCC 🥹📸 and listen… I didn’t even ask for the position, I was secretly praying for it lol. Ernisha told me they’ve had people ask before but they specifically wanted to work with me and that honestly meant so much.

I already cannot WAIT for the next Beyond the Clock networking event in Richmond this Thursday 👏🏾✨

And if you haven’t heard of the VABCC yet, look them up ASAP. If you’re a business owner and not a member yet, I definitely suggest looking into becoming one!

Listennnn 🥹✨ last night was really a full circle moment.

Getting to photograph my best friend’s niece for her SENIOR pictures is actually crazy because this the same little girl we used to put in my Coach bag as a baby crying laughing like s**t 😭😂

Now look at her… beautiful, smart, driven, and really out here becoming an amazing young woman. She absolutely ATE her session up and we cut up the whole entire time. I already know these edits about to EAT 😩🔥

Time really don’t wait for nobody man. I seriously cannot wait to celebrate her graduation 🤍

Baby this whole session had me in my feelings a little bit. Watching this beautiful Black girl move with so much confidence, grace, strength, and joy… it healed a little piece of my inner child because I ALWAYS wanted to do gymnastics growing up. 🤍

Seeing her do what she loves so fearlessly was honestly so beautiful to witness. And kudos to her mama because you can tell this baby is supported, loved, and poured into. 👏🏾✨
