My maternity leave officially starts today and it’s honestly kind of bittersweet. Even though I’ll be back in only a few months! (Not to be dramatic) I’ll miss getting to capture my repeat families over the summer, some of which are having babies of their own. And I’ll definitely be staring at each beautiful sunset wishing I was on the beach with a mama-to-be.

But the beauty of my time off is I’ll actually be able to share a whole summer with my own family without any distractions, which I haven’t done since my son was born. So as much as I’ll miss capturing all of your memories over the next few months, I’m excited to be able to slow down and capture my own.🩷

Booking will always remain open. And let’s face it, I’ll still be on this crazy, annoying app all summer too so I won’t be far!😂

These are the moments to live for and the moments that matter the most in life. The laundry and dishes can wait. But this right here? You’ll never get these specific moments in time back. So learn to slow down and just enjoy the here and now. 🩵

Sometimes sessions don’t always go as planned. You book a session hoping the weather cooperates and then you show up to the beach and it turns out it’s actually really chilly and windy. Not an ideal situation, especially with kids. But trust your photographer, trust the process and leave all stress about it behind.

I’m always ready to freeze or sweat with you and I promise your photos will always turn out better than it feels they will in the moment.
