Caldwell 12, cataloged as NGC 6946 or the Fireworks galaxy, only a short 25 million light years away in the constellation Cepheus and Cygnus. From my last outing at Milky Way point.

Venus is a very hard target to capture, this was my first attempt. Its really hard to shoot because it's usually sitting on the horizon and you're having to shoot it through every layer of the atmosphere! An occultation of the moon and Venus will happen on 6-17-26!

Was really hoping for some aroura activity last night, although it didn't happen it was a beautiful night to be outside!...

Was really hoping for some aroura activity last night, although it didn't happen it was a beautiful night to be outside! Met a few nice people as well! Here is a time laps that shows Venus (left side of the screen), the larger of the two, and Jupiter, smaller, to it's upper right setting.

Once in a blue moon it happens,... Finally had a chance to get outside last week, tried for Venus and Jupiter early in the night, but there were just too many clouds. So I waited a bit and tried the Canon T7i with my telescope for the first time. I'm almost able to get the full shot of the moon, also took a couple of close ups.

My first real attempt at shooting the Milky-way core. From the Panoramic Overlook on the Kancamagus Highway. This is unedited and raw right from my camera! Also trying to process some stills of this outing so stay tuned!

Here is a real quick star trails video shot looking southwest. I took this while doing shots of Jupiter. Star trails are really cool because you get a different effect any direction you look!
