Early one morning, before good light, I captured this sweet image of a fawn and Sandhill crane. Since there was such low light I had to run it thru quite a few steps in processing but came up with this "storybook feel" watercolor. The fawn slowly kept following the crane around. I fell in love with this tender scene.

To be honest.... I was (photo) hunting moose ... specifically a BIG Bull. Zero luck.

However, I was rewarded with this beautiful mare walking among the Aspen. I'll take it!! The best part was she came up to my car window first and stuck her head in for some scratches.🥰

PS - If anyone is willing to share a good location for an impressive bull moose..... I will give you a print if your tip pans out. Send a message via FB Messenger 😀 or text.

Wow I am 6 days behind posting a Mother's Day image. Last year I swore I would post this image of Grace Kirkpatrick on May 10, 2026, and I missed it! However, it is still worth doing in recognition of all those amazing mothers out there. Day in day out doing what is needed to keep life moving along...... with the generations there to back them up!

I am so lucky to walk beside so many families as they live their beautiful lives. It's an honor.

Special thanks to Connor Wines and Cate Hirschy for always taking the time to include me during the fun stuff. Moving the Longhorns and the Bucking horses are two of my favs.
The cows weren't too keen on crossing the river in their new pasture since it had ice on it. Connor had to show them how it's done. The curve and the hill by the cemetery is dangerous so it's always good to have someone flagging. Thanks Andy Baldauf 🥰

Every day cannot be perfect .... we have to go with the flow and accept what the day gives us. Fog and smoke is not my favorite but gotta work with what I have been given and try to enjoy a different kind of beauty. Fred and Cate Hirschy gathering at the Swanson
