A little something new from Something Blue...

I started Something Blue Photography with a love for capturing life's most meaningful moments and that love hasn't changed one bit. But lately, something has been pulling at my creative heart, and I've decided to follow it.

I'm so excited to share that Something Blue is growing into a new chapter, with a fresh focus on dance, cheer, sports, and seniors. The movers, the shakers, the ones who pour everything they have into what they do. I want to be there to freeze those moments forever.

These new photos you're about to see? They're of some absolutely incredible allstar cheerleaders, and shooting them reminded me exactly why I fell in love with photography in the first place. The light, the movement, the pure joy. I am obsessed.

And yes, individual and family portraits are still very much part of my heart and my calendar.

This is still Something Blue. Just with a little more sparkle.

There is something so special about watching a little girl grow — from tiny ballet slippers and shy smiles to confident leaps and fearless turns. Dance has a beautiful way of shaping not just strong dancers, but strong young women.

As a photographer, it’s an honor to capture these moments — the determination in their eyes, the grace in their movement, and the joy in simply becoming who they’re meant to be. I'm especially partial to my own

I am beyond excited and truly honored to be volunteering for Night to Shine for the third year in a row 💜✨

Being part of this incredible event, hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation, is a reminder of just how special our local community is. Watching so many businesses, volunteers, families, and organizations come together to create a magical prom night for our honored guests is nothing short of inspiring.

As a photographer, it’s a privilege to capture the joy, confidence, and pure celebration on each face—but as a human, it’s even more meaningful to witness love and inclusion in action. This night is a beautiful example of what happens when a community shows up with open hearts and servant spirits.

Grateful to play a small role in such a big, beautiful celebration. 💫
