I can’t tell you how excited I was when a while back my amazing client wanted to an Indian Jones tattoo🤩
The Indiana Jones movies are some of my Daddio’s favorites and I grew up watching them often with him. They are now some of my favorites .
Anyway fast forward to us landing on a style and a brief set back to let some of her skin sensitivity resolve (she has psoriasis flair ups) we got to finish this piece!

Why do I mention the flair ups? It’s never good to tattoo in an area near or next to a psoriasis patch or flair up. The open wound could potentially trigger an autoimmune response in the same area. Leaving the tattoo at risk of psoriasis patch in the tattoo while trying to heal. Thai could cause a multitude of issues for a healing tattoo. The client however can get tattooed in an area that is not near or next to a psoriasis area.
For example if they have a patch on their arm you could place a tattoo on their leg if no flair up so present in the area on the leg.
However, if the client is having a severe flair up it’s always best to give them a bit of time to let their skin and body calm down before tattooing anywhere in general.
It’s always best to discuss these matters with your client and decide the best option for them and what they feel comfortable doing moving forward.
At the end of the day it’s about client safety, the best heal possible and the ultimate decision the client would like to make.
In her case we did a session and after session healed as we were about to do a second session, she had a flair up in the area of the tattoo. We chose to wait it out for quite some time and then came back to finish once her skin was good to go. The result is a beautiful mostly healed tattoo in these photos. Fresh is only some glowing highlights and the background.

Friday May 1st turned 4!
🎉🥳🎊

I’m in awe of all that has happened. It’s been challenging, it’s changed me in so many ways. There have been tired days and sleepless nights along the way. But the anointing comes through the crushing. Fine oil only happens after the seeds are pressed. And I’m nothing but grateful@for it all.

It’s called me out, it’s required me to rise to the occasion, to learn more, to teach more, to push harder, to lean into the Lord deeper, to stay calm in the face of problems. It’s taught me self control over emotions and when to set a boundary.

Every time I thought there is no way I know how to do this , through wisdom of the Lord, discipleship to my mentors and perseverance I learned. I grew.

I’m still far from perfect and I have so much more I need to learn, so many more people I want to impact for the better, so many more people I want to bless with the prescence of this studio and my team. The work isn’t finished … I’m just getting started. I may trip , I may have an off week or month, but I dust myself off and keep going. There is no time to be timid, only to be bold and daring.

Thank you to all have gotten tattooed and pierced by me and my team, thank you to all my mentors, thank you to all who have prayed for me and the studio, thank you to all who have participated in this journey and all who will participate. Thank to my team for the work and the love you show clients and each other everyday. Thank you to myhubby for your endless love and support.
Most of all of course I thank God🙏.
Can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds ❤️

Let’s talk about realities of being a studio owner🎤
Business ownership isn’t just about “Setting your own hours” and “fluid income”

There is work to be done BEFORE you get to that level. You don’t get the perks without the effort. You can’t grow a team or a company if no one can follow you or what you stand for. Sure not everyone will because they may not be your people or your team. But without putting in the work, showing up, leading by example, serving others and showing them you are in their corner to see them win there is no forward motion.
Leadership isn’t just ownership it’s serving others and sometimes that looks like cleaning screws out of a parking lot at 11am in the Fl sun. Or cleaning and organizing and making an area more efficient for the entire team.
“Those who are faithful with the little become ruler over much”
“Diligent hands will rule but laziness ends in forced labor”
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely”

If you are in a season of work and faithfulness , don’t discount it, don’t cut corners and work with diligence and integrity.
There is something awe inspiring about those who do not grow weary in well doing and are faithful to serve.
Jesus the King of Kings and Lord of all served others in His leadership , so why shouldn’t we?

Finally got to completely finish this Mario leg sleeve for .dragon.tales . 🤩
We finished it up back in February but I’m behind on posting 🤪

This piece was so much fun to collaborate with Meredith on. She just let me have a blast. We had some start and stops to it between schedules and her having her sweet baby girl but we made it!

This tattoo is healed! With only minor touch-ups to the background in these photos.

Just as I was about to open my Bible with my coffee the Lord promoted me to write about what He did and What this day means.

Sword of the Spirit for my friend .dean for his birthday!

The sword of the Spirit is the word of God , it is representing using the word of the Lord to defend against spiritual attacks, defeat temptations, and counter falsehood. The Lords word also lead us in victory and in truth over trials in our lives.
The metaphor of the word of the Lord being called a sword of the spirit is referring to a common sword of that time frame. The Roman short sword. This sword allowed soldiers to fight proficiently in tight quarters. Its knobbed handled allowed for a firm grip . It became viewers as a symbol of discipline as well as often considered the most effective weapon of its time.

When spiritual battles, temptations and trials of life press in close as if to squeeze or crush the Sword of the spirit, the Word of God is used to battle it. We need to be self disciplined to battle, we must have a firm grip on the word, have it written in our hearts and a tight relationship with the Lord to battle well , and then we can effectively triumph.

For we do not war against flesh and blood but against evil spirits and principalities.
