Portfolio Days 2026 is a wrap! Students had the opportunity to put all the skills they've learned throughout the year on display as we opened up the classroom to visitors from the Orlando Entertainment community in to be models for their final project portfolios and simulating real photographer/client photoshoots. Being a great photographer, knowing your gear and settings is only half the battle. Being comfortable behind the camera and making your subject feel at ease is just as important. So proud of all my students for absolutely rocking it! Thank you to all the guests that stopped out to be a part of this!

Yesterday wrapped up my students last day at OTC-South. These 5 were my first cohort to start with me back in August. I'm SO PROUD of their journey, sacrifice, growth, and dedication. So happy to see them graduate and excited to see them all kill it in the photography industry.

As a former theater kid, I'll never say no to photographing a stage performance! There's something about seeing the show from the framing of a prime zoom lens that combines the rush of live art and expression with my love for taking photos. I also enjoy the challenge of tracking subjects, timing and projecting movements, all in constant changing and challenging low light situations. Fast shutters, high ISOs, expensive lenses :)

The last 3 years I've had the pleasure and honor of providing images for Orlando Youth Chamber Ensembles. I'm excited to continue to do so for a 4th year.

As a former theater arts kid, some of my favorite pastimes were found on the stage and in the practice rooms. The lessons learned in these spaces (dedication, teamwork, practice, listening to others, reflection, surround yourself with those that share your passions, surrounding yourself with those better than you to learn PUSH you, and countless others) has been something I've carried with me my entire life. OYCE also provides clinicians at their events connecting students to Professionals, as well as Public performance opportunities in and around Orlando. It's been great seeing offer these experiences & lessons to the these young talented musicians, and I've truly enjoyed seeing faces return year after year and see their growth through my lens.
