This was a Disney wedding here in Orlando. And the part I'll always remember wasn't the fireworks.

It was him. Spinning her on the dance floor like she was five again.

Then her grandmother pulled the groom in close and just held on. No words. Eyes closed. The kind of hug that says everything.

Most couples think the photos that matter are the posed ones. They're not.

It's these. The ones happening while you're not looking. The hand on a shoulder. The quiet cry at the table. The family loving on you all night.

Fue el. Girandola en la pista como cuando tenia cinco anos.

Despues su abuela abrazo al novio y simplemente no lo solto. Sin palabras. Los ojos cerrados. Ese abrazo que lo dice todo.

They brought an alpaca to their wedding. In a top hat.

And honestly? It fit them perfectly.

This was Diazia and Naieem at Paradise Cove in Orlando. The kind of day that didn't take itself too seriously. Big laughs. Good food. A dance floor nobody wanted to leave.

Here's what I love. The best weddings aren't the most expensive ones. They're the ones that feel like the couple. Every little detail said something about who they are.

That's what we look for. Not the perfect pose. The real thing.

Open bar. Live band. Hora loca. Let's go.

Margaritaville Orlando. Saturday night. Kyleen and James opened with a salsa they'd practiced once and forgotten. Nobody cared. The floor was full inside of a song.

The hora loca hit at 10:14 and the bride was the first one in the mask. Her abuela was the second. Her brother handed me a champagne flute and told me to put my camera down for five seconds. I did. Then I picked it back up.

A reception that runs twenty minutes long isn't a problem. It's the proof. You built a night people didn't want to leave.

Most photographers will tell you to wrap on time. I'll tell you to stay.

The frame I'm always waiting for happens after the camera comes down.

A Disney wedding in Orlando. The Barker portraits. We'd been shooting for about eight minutes when I lowered my camera and asked Hannah to tell Paul something she'd never told him at a wedding before.

She did. He laughed. She leaned in. I lifted the camera back up.

That's the frame.

Most photographers run the session like a shot list. I run it like a conversation. The shot list is in my head. The conversation is what fills your gallery.

I tell every bride the same thing before the dress goes on. Three words.

Omni Orlando ChampionsGate. The morning of the James-Morrison wedding. Seven women in the suite. One quiet hour before everything started moving.

Here are the words. Slow it down.

Most brides spend that hour reacting to whoever needs them next. The planner. The HMUA. The mom. The friend with the question. You'll never get it back if you spend it reacting.

I guide my brides into a different rhythm. Coffee. Robes. Music low. One photo at a time. We don't shoot the morning like a checklist. We shoot it like a memory.

By the time the dress comes out, the room feels like a held breath. That's exactly what you want.

A Disney wedding doesn't have to look like one.

Walt Disney World in Orlando. The Hickmans wanted Disney without it ever feeling themed. That's the brief I get more than any other. And it's the one I love the most.

You don't have to choose between the place you've dreamed of and a wedding that feels grown up. Editorial. Fun. Refined.

Most Disney photography leans into the theme. We pull the camera back from it. We shoot the couple the way we'd shoot them anywhere else, and let the location do its job quietly behind them.
