For the new ones here, or for the ones who have been here for a while and still wonder who’s that random weirdo constantly popping up on your feed… hi, I’m Gilmar.
I’m a commercial and brand photographer, proud Nikon Ambassador, educator, speaker, and unapologetic camera & prop ju**ie based in Orlando, Florida, but born and raised in my beautiful Venezuela 🇻🇪
From time to time you’ll find me on stages at photography conferences talking about creativity, lighting, storytelling, color, business, and all the tiny details most people probably don’t obsess over as much as I do.
I photograph brands, people, products, campaigns, and creative concepts, but at the core of everything I do is the same obsession: helping people and brands show up with more personality, more confidence, and more visual impact.
I love teaching, and probably that’s how most of you ended up here. I teach photographers how to see differently, use light with intention, experiment without waiting for permission, and trust their own creative voice instead of chasing whatever trend the internet decided was cool for five minutes.
But outside of photography, I’m also a mom of two amazing kids, a professional overthinker, a prop collector with questionable self-control, someone who can spend an embarrassing amount of time moving a light one inch to the left, and a person who rebuilt a lot of her life through creativity.
This space is basically a mix of my brain in visual form:
commercial work, weird ideas, behind the scenes, educational content, lighting experiments, color obsession, Nikon things, occasional emotional damage 😬
I care deeply about making things feel human. Not perfect, human.
