I'm Allison, a family, couples, and lifestyle photographer based out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. What started as a personal passion in my teenage years ended up following me throughout my education and previous work experiences, laying the groundwork for my career as a professional photographer. My mission is to create an easy and smooth experience for you right from the very start to ensure

that your photography journey is one that's positive and fun. I'm there every step of the way - from helping you determine what type of photography coverage, to guiding you and making you feel comfortable during your session, to delivering your photos and more. My approach is rooted in documentary style photography, which is capturing real, candid moments with a touch of editorial finesse for more posed, but not fully traditional moments. This mix will give you a dynamic range of images in your gallery and show the true essence of your relationships. My editing style is natural, true-to-life, and timeless while still being refined and stylish, allowing your photos to be just as beautiful 20 years from now as they are today.

Five months is such a sweet age to photograph. They’re still undeniably a tiny, snuggly baby but you get sweet smiles, loving glances towards mom or dad, and curious little facial expressions. 🥹

The Gillis family 😍

They wanted photos that felt playful, loving and intimate and a session where the kids could have fun without the pressure of getting the perfect picture. And wow oh wow did that make for photos that are full to the brim of joy and love. 🥹

I swear these two are an absolute picture of love, and there’s nothing better than seeing new life being brought into a family filled with boundless love. Evie is already the luckiest and most loved little girl, with the coolest parents as an added bonus. 🫶

Sweetness overload. 🥹 My favorite part of photographing families is watching them simply take time to be together with no other worries or expectations. No where else to be, nothing else to do, just be while you let someone capture the ways you make each other smile. This afternoon with Jesse, Neil and Lillian was the sweetest reminder of what it’s all about. 🫶

No two sessions are ever the same which is why before every single session, I send a questionnaire that helps me tailor things specifically to you, your personality, and what you want your photos to portray. It’s always so cool to see how things translate from the questionnaire, to being in person taking pictures, to the final gallery. 🫶

Here’s proof that allowing your family’s authentic bond to shine is what tells your story. 🥹 They wanted their photos to portray a loving family with a little bit of mischief and these were the results. The silliness, the fashion, the love, the setting? It all translated SO beautifully. ✨

There are a lot of reasons why I recommend documentary style photography (think candid - genuine interactions) for families, especially families with young children. But all of those reasons add up to the fact that that’s how you end up with photos that will take you back to a moment in time. Photos that remind you of tiny hands, loud giggles, messy faces, and sweet hugs.

Raising tiny humans is hard. But as hard as it is, I believe one day we’ll long for it back. And photos like these can, for a brief, intangible moment, give you back your little ones as they are today. 🥹 Don’t be afraid of imperfect photos. Those are quite likely the ones that will bring the biggest smile to your face one day many years from now.

Took me way too long to share part two of Becca’s birthday session, but it’s truly better late than never. I loooove having her in front of my camera for so many reasons. First, she’s beautiful. Second, we always have fun getting creative together which is so fueling. And lastly, I love seeing someone feel confident and hyped up. We all deserve (no, NEED) that from time to time. 🥰
