I'm Apryl Roland. I am first and foremost a Fine Art photographer.

My work focuses on places - cities, landscapes, architecture, details of life and culture around the world. People rarely make the shot. :)

But occasionally they do. I sometimes shoot individuals, families, bands, etc. My lifestyle photography happens in natural settings like outdoors or in homes. I do not shoot in a photo studio. I'm sorry, I don't do weddings. Ever. :)

Such an honor to be included in the set design of executive producer Oprah Winfrey’s show, Queen Sugar. They featured my DC photography during a hotel room scene and it’s a career highlight! A beautiful show I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of, it has ended after its 7th season. The best team I’ve worked with for tv, I thank them for respecting and valuing my work the way they did.

Happy almost spring! I wanted to thank the CB2 (Crate and Barrel 2) store in Washington DC and the Economics Department at Georgetown University for featuring my photography on their walls. Nothing short of an honor that they chose my work!
