Music = Community. So happy to be a part of all this. Pics of it all coming soon, so hold on to your butts, people.
Holy. Smokes. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support Weathered Eds Weekend // Feb 18th-21st, 2016! Thursday and Sunday were absolutely great, Friday was off the chain, and you all had the bar at capacity on Saturday. There's not much else to say besides this: You guys fu***ng rule. Thank you a thousand times over for your continued love and support. Nothing is better than playing and getting to hang out/party with all of you. Seriously, there are no words to describe it, it's the best feeling in the world.
Thank you so much to Eds (no name) Bar for letting us host such a special weekend at their place. Eds will always be our home. There isn't a better venue in Southeast, MN. Period.
Thank you to Ilan and Insight Brewing for being a major part of this weekend as well. It's awesome that their beer was on tap every night for Weathered Eds and we're really excited to have their beer at restaurants, bars, and liquor stores here in Winona now and within the coming months.
We also want to thank all of the amazing bands and local artists that joined us to make this weekend great. You all know who you are, how honored we feel that you took the time out of your schedules to be a part of this, and how much we truly love you. Please check the comment section for links to these bands & artists. Go like their FB pages, visit their websites, follow them on all the social media outlets you can, check their work, tour dates, etc...
We want to thank C-Side Productions (Camden Webster) and Aidan Goodman for running sound and lights all weekend at the bar and for live recording EVERY band's set this weekend. Stay tuned for a special project we're working on that involves those recordings.
Phaux Pas Photography - Benjamin Steinquist has been a close friend of ours for so many years and we can't wait to see all the dope pictures he's captured from this past weekend (one of which is shown here in this post). Both him, Camden, Aidan, and our buddy Matt Wagner worked with us and the rest of the bands on a recorded video shoot on Saturday afternoon that you'll all be hearing about shortly.
We also think it's incredibly important that everyone realizes how special the music scene is here in Winona. For example, on Saturday, we had ourselves an unreal time over at Eds, our real good pals The People Brothers Band had a bomb-ass show over at The Bar, a couple members of Communist Daughter were rockin' up the Really Livin' Living Room Series, and Gregg "Cheech" Hall was warmin' folks up over at Wenonah Brewing Company. We think it's so important to support all the events/artists that are consistently happening around here, and it's so cool for folks to have lots of options in this community to hear some great music. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open - you'll find awesome stuff going on all the time.
Once again - thank you, thank you, thank you.
