Approximately 10 years ago, my husband and I moved (back) to Winona. Settling in, with a baby in-tow, we began our life here. Shortly thereafter I combined one of my greatest passions with my career path and started Capturing Moments Photography. It has been a remarkable 10 years. A decade where I’ve grown in my craft and had the pleasure of documenting life’s greatest moments for so many of you.
And so, it is with mixed emotions, that I announce that I will stepping back from my business.
This was a very hard decision, as I love what I do and I love who I work with (YOU!). However, that one baby I had 10 years ago is now joined by 3 siblings and many foster siblings (coming and going through our door). The sweet faces pictured below are busy and involved and running in a million different directions at once. I wear many hats for them including mom, cab driver, coach, etc. I only get this time with them once and I knew that I could no longer balance the needs of my business with the needs of my kids, while doing either of them justice. Going further, I knew in my heart that I would never regret dedicating more time for our family.
With that being said, I am still looking forward to the handful of shoots that are already scheduled for 2017 as well as some amazing weddings that I have in the books. If you have a gift certificate for CMP I am thrilled to still honor it through this year. I will be leaving my page and website live for the time being (who knows, you may see me back someday). Look forward to information on sales of some of my inventory, props and gear.
I want to thank ALL of you for supporting me and trusting me with the privilege of photographing your lives. We’ve had one heck of a run, huh?
Thanks again, Tammy
