Okay, y'all. Since A Shot in the Dark is happening THIS SATURDAY, I figured I'd let everyone in on a little something I've been doing behind the scenes. 😂

I've been playing a little game with my two strangers called The Stranger Files.

They've been answering questions, giving me a little insight into their personalities, and probably wondering what the hell they've signed themselves up for. 😂

Neither of them knows who they're meeting on Saturday, but I've been getting to know both of them, and I have a feeling this is going to be entertaining.

So here's where y'all come in!

Over the next few days, I'm going to share a few little details from their files (without giving away their identities, obviously), and I want YOU to make some predictions.

Who do you think will be more nervous? Who's going to break the ice first? Is this going to be awkward as hell or are they going to hit it off immediately? 👀

We'll find out Saturday!

My regular Stranger Sessions officially have a name!

Introducing… THE UNEXPECTED FRAME! 🖤

Same concept, same unpredictable experiences, just a name that feels a little more like Chasing The Views!

The Unexpected Frame is all about stepping outside your comfort zone, meeting someone you've never met before, and creating something completely unexpected. Maybe you'll laugh until your stomach hurts, maybe it'll be awkward for the first five minutes, or maybe you'll walk away with a new friend. Who knows? That's kind of the point. 😂

And no, this isn't a dating service. I'm a photographer, not Cupid. 😂

Now, here's where YOU come in!

🎃 A Shot in the Dark is happening THIS SATURDAY! 🖤

I've been working on this idea for a while now, and I'm so excited to finally bring it to life!

My first two strangers are officially matched, and they'll be meeting for the very first time in front of my camera this Saturday! Neither knows what the other looks like, and I'm keeping it that way until the big reveal. 👀

We've got the spooky theme planned, masks picked out, and now we're just counting down the days!

I'm not sure who's more nervous at this point... them or me. 😂

I can't wait to see how these two interact and what we end up creating together. It's definitely going to be something a little different from my usual sessions!

A little behind-the-scenes update from Chasing The Views! 🖤📸

Things have been a little busy over here, but in the best way!

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on a senior session that I'm so excited to share with everyone. I've also got a handful of sessions on the calendar, and things are starting to get busy as we head into the last couple of months of the year!

Now, for the exciting part... 👀

My first A Shot in the Dark match has officially been made, and we're SO close to having everything booked! 🎃🖤 I cannot wait to see how this one unfolds. There's something so fun about bringing two complete strangers together and capturing those genuine, unscripted moments.

Applications are still OPEN for both A Shot in the Dark and my regular Stranger Sessions! So if you've been thinking about stepping outside your comfort zone and doing something a little different, this might just be your sign. 😉

And because apparently I don't know how to sit still, Christmas sessions will be starting in November! 🎄 I'll be sharing more details on those soon.

Between editing, planning, matching strangers, and everything else happening behind the scenes, there's a lot going on over here, and I'm loving getting to bring all these ideas to life.

A little sneak peek from Malachi's senior session! 🖤🎸

I've known Malachi since he was just 4 years old, and somehow we're already taking his SENIOR pictures?! 🥹 Where in the world did the time go?!

It's a little bittersweet watching these kids grow up, but getting to capture moments like this makes it pretty special.

We traded the traditional senior portrait setting for some graffiti, a guitar, and a little personality. And honestly, I wouldn't have wanted this session any other way!

Things are getting interesting behind the scenes at Chasing The Views! 👀

After going through applications for **A Shot in the Dark**, I've narrowed things down to two people who might just make the perfect pair.

They don't know each other. They haven't met. And neither knows they could be walking into a photoshoot with someone whose personality seems to match theirs pretty damn well.

I've reached out to both potential participants to confirm a few things before making anything official, but I'm already getting excited about the possibilities!

And no, I'm not done making matches! 👀

Applications are still open for *A Shot in the Dark*, a spooky stranger photography experience where two complete strangers meet for the first time in front of my camera.

A little behind-the-scenes from a recent senior session! 📸🖤

We traded the typical senior photo backdrop for graffiti-covered walls, a little exploring in the woods, and a guitar. 🎸

And yes, sometimes getting the shot means standing in questionable places, crouching at weird angles, and probably looking like I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. 😂

But I love sessions like this! Getting to incorporate someone's personality and interests into their photos is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Senior pictures don't have to be stiff, boring, or look like everyone else's.

And speaking of getting creative, I've had quite a few things going on behind the camera lately!

Between sessions, editing, and working on A Shot in the Dark, I've been keeping myself pretty busy. 👻🖤

I know I've been a little quiet about the stranger sessions, but don't worry, I haven't forgotten about y'all! I've still been going through applications, looking at potential matches, and trying to figure out who might be a good fit together.

I'm not rushing the process or pairing people up just for the sake of filling sessions. I want everyone to have a fun experience with someone who actually fits what they're comfortable with and what they're hoping to get out of it.

And yes, I'm still accepting applications! 👀

So… how the hell am I actually matching complete strangers? 👀

I promise I’m not sitting here going, “Eh, these two seem cute. Let's go with it.” 😂

I’ve started going through the A Shot in the Dark applications, and there’s actually a lot that goes into deciding who might work well together.
I’m looking at age preferences, who you’re comfortable being paired with, personality, boundaries, physical-contact comfort, how flirty—or absolutely not flirty—you want this thing to be, what kind of session you want, and all the little details you gave me in your questionnaire.
I’m also looking for personalities that might complement each other, because two people don’t necessarily need to be exactly alike to have an amazing session.

Some of you want chemistry. 👀
Some want a fun experience with absolutely no expectations.
Some are hoping to make a new friend.
Some want spooky and moody.
Some want pure chaos.
And then there are those of you who essentially checked the “Lia, I’ve already made questionable decisions by signing up. Do your worst.” box. 💀
My favorite people, obviously. 😂

But here’s the important part:
I’m not going to force a match just to fill a session.
If I don’t have someone who fits what you’re looking for and whose boundaries and comfort levels work with yours, I’m not throwing you together just because I can.

The chaos may be intentional.
The matching isn’t. 🖤

There’s no fee to apply. If you’re matched and decide to book, the session is $50 per person.

I'm currently building the applicant pool for A Shot in the Dark, and I'm looking for more guys 18+ willing to meet a complete stranger in front of my camera.

And because apparently I need a bigger hunting ground for you elusive creatures... 😂 I'm expanding the search.
