Here is our tentative schedule of events for the 2025-2026 season! Please note that there could be a few changes to the schedule as we go, but any changes would be announced well in advance. What a fun winter it is going to be at Milton RC Raceway!

Our next thing we are working for is a list of rules and procedures for the track and we hope to have those posted within the next week or two.

Ona Speedway Releases 2025 Schedule

ONA, WV-Fresh off a great 2024 season, the Ona Speedway has released the much anticipated 2025 schedule. The schedule sees a great mix of weekly racing, special events, visits from touring series, and lots of different types of race cars.

The speedways weekly class slate will see Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, UCAR’s, Legends Cars, Crown Vics, and Crazy Compacts as the divisions that will compete for the 2025 track championships. The weekly points championship will begin on Saturday, April 26th at the Opening Night races and conclude on Saturday, September 20th with the Season Championship races.

The special event races start early at the speedway on May 10th with the 5th Annual Bryce Keyser Memorial Fly By 40 Supersized presented by Freedom Used Autos with the Vores Compact Touring Series. This year’s event will be the biggest compact race in Ona Speedway history, be the largest paying Vores Compact Touring Series race in 2025, and also be the longest single race at Ona in 2025 with an 80 lap feature.

After weather postponed the 2024 event, race sponsor Freedom Used Autos and the Vores Compact Touring Series came together to come up with a 80 lap race that is double the normal race distance for this event. With a big halfway bonus, a halfway invert, and 80 laps on the abrasive Ona Speedway surface, this is set to be one of the most thrilling races seen at the speedway.

New special events will take to the schedule the next two races. For the first time in many years, the speedway will be racing Memorial Day weekend with the Memorial Day All Star Bash set for Saturday, May 24th. This race will see all divisions plus the Baby Grand Stock Cars race for their first of two visits. The race will see increased purses, an All Star style format, and the option for fans to vote on several aspects of the event. This will make for one of the most fan oriented, exciting races of the season.

On June 14th the Super Cup Stock Cars will return to Ona Speedway for the first time since 2013. The series, which consists of cars that are very similar to the NASCAR Gen 4 Stock Cars, will compete for Twin 50’s. The month of June ends with the traditional Firecracker Extravaganza featuring the big fireworks show at the end of the night.

As was announced last week, the speedway will host a three race Late Model Triple Crown Challenge mini-series. The series will compete at the track on June 28th, July 12th, and August 16th. Those races will see Late Models compete for $800 to win and $200 to start each race along with a points bonus on the line at the end of the mini-series.

With county fairs and vacation season in full force, the month of July will see one race on Saturday, July 12th with the Season Championships. August will start on August 2nd with another visit from the always popular CRS Super Truck Series. August 16th will see the Legends Car Extravaganza with a special race for the Legends Cars.

The fall season will see four big events at the end of the year. September 6th will see a new event, Compact Mania featuring the annual Firecracker 40 for the UCAR’s as well as a Crazy Compact special race. September 20th will feature the final points race of the season with the Season Championships.

October will feature the popular Trick or Treat Night on Saturday, October 18th with a full night of racing as well as trick or treat during intermission. The season will end with the Mountaineer 100 heading back to it’s traditional late October date on Saturday, October 25th. This year the Modifieds will battle for 50 laps in a special while the Crown Vics will battle for 50 laps in a special to make up the 100 laps. Street Stocks, UCAR’s, and Legends Cars will also have special races on October 25th.

All in all the 2025 season will have 12 big race nights along with 5 Test N’ Tune’s. 11 of the 12 races will feature either a touring series or some type of special race for that night. 10 different types of race cars are set to take to the speedway over the course of the season.

We are looking for a Concession Operator for the 2025 season. This is a great opportunity for someone to have their own business at the speedway!

The Concession Operator is responsible for 100% of the concession operations at the speedway. This is something you can make your own as you control the food ordering, menu, pricing, etc. It's a great business opportunity as the only charge to the speedway is a % of sales plus a monthly electric fee. The rest of the revenue is yours.

The Concession Operator will be the only person allowed to sell food/drink items at the speedway. The Concession Operator will get full use of both the general and pit concession stands and the equipment in them.

The Concession Operator is required to have the general and pit concession stands open for ALL races in the 2025 season. We do require that the Concession Operator have restaurant management experience. This is something that would work perfect for someone who already has a restaurant that wants to do this as well.

2024 Banquet of Champions Set for January 25th

ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway has set the date for the 2024 Banquet of Champions. The banquet will be on Saturday, January 25th and once again take place at the American Legion Post 177 Ball Room in Barboursville, WV. The top 3 in points in each division will be honored with awards as well as recognition of sponsors, track officials, and the giving out of this year’s Ona Speedway Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Everything will get underway at the banquet with social hour from 4:00-5:00 pm. Dinner will take place at 5:00 pm with the awards starting at 6:00 pm. Following the awards ceremony the American Legion will be having a concert at 8:00 pm that everyone will be welcome to attend.

Dinner will include chicken tenders, ham, roasted potatoes, green beans, and corn. There will be cake for dessert. Drinks included are sweet tea, lemonade, and water. There will be a private cash bar available.

Tickets are $25 per person. The top 3 in each division being honored plus all Ona Speedway track officials will receive a free ticket. You MUST register though to confirm your attendance. Please do not register unless you are 100% sure you will be there as once you register, we are charged. The last day to register and have payment complete for tickets is on January 15th as we must have the count in for the caterer.

CRS trucks is a fun race to watch. I believe I saw Carson Lucas Racing will be there tomorrow! I’m not sure that he is old enough for a drivers license yet but this young man can dominate a race track!

However this photo is one of my favorite action shots!

It always gets wild when the CRS Super Trucks invade Ona! This Saturday as part of the Haunted Majestic Halloween Bash we will host the biggest CRS Truck race we've ever had at the speedway, the series championship race that will go 50 laps!

CRS Super Truck racing at Ona is always a great show. Just another reason why you can't miss this show on Saturday! Racing will start at 4:00 pm.

Races like this is when I miss it most! It’s end of season, the purses are up and the pits are packed- that means non stop excitement on the track! Make your way to Ona Speedway tomorrow, this is sure to be an exciting race!

This was always my favorite race/event to photograph! The drivers always go all out! They give out tons of stuff! You may even see some dressed up while racing! Great place for kids to get candy and meet the drivers they are watching race!

A big night of racing and family fun awaits tomorrow for Carpenter's Repair Trick or Treat Night and the Nitro Construction Services Triple Crown!

The exciting racing card will feature All Seasons Powersports Huntington Late Models paying $1,000 to win, LG Pressure Washing LLC Modifieds paying $1,000 to win, Haunted Majestic Street Stocks paying $1,000 to win, Contempo Trophy & Awards, Inc. UCAR's paying $1,000 to win, Baby Grand Stock Cars, Three Sixteen Motorsports LLC INEX Legends Cars, and Brody Nash, Realtor - C21 Crown Vics.

During intermission we allow all fans on the track for trick or treat with the cars and driver and also have a Halloween Costume Contest with a trophy for the kids and adult winners!

Remember racing starts early tomorrow with racing at 5:00 pm! Pit gates open at 11:30 am while general admission gates open at 3:00 pm.
