They say every photographer has a “first” they’ll never forget. Well, I just had mine—and it was nothing short of unforgettable.

A few weeks ago, I took on a challenge that pushed me outside my comfort zone: photographing my first-ever newborn photoshoot.

I won’t lie—working with a baby as your “client” has its surprises. But that’s what I love about photography: it keeps you on your toes and constantly learning.

A huge thank you to the Fendick family for inviting me to capture these precious first moments with your beautiful little girl. Watching your family’s love in action was an honor.

Here’s to capturing more “firsts”—both for myself and the amazing families I get to work with.

**November 16th, 2024 – High School Archery Tournament at No Limits Archery** 🎯📸

Last Saturday, I stepped out of my usual photography comfort zone and had the chance to capture the intensity and focus of an indoor archery competition. It was such a unique experience, seeing how these talented young athletes push their limits and navigate the pressure of the tournament. 📅

Not only was it a fantastic opportunity to expand my photography skills, but it was also a humbling reminder of the dedication and hard work these archers put in to perfect their craft. From the quiet concentration before each shot to the excitement after hitting a bullseye, every moment told a powerful story.

Grateful for the chance to document something so different and inspiring – looking forward to more moments like this! 💪🏹

A few more wonderful photos from my time in Kauai, Hawaii. I’m already counting down the days to go back and continue my photography adventures there.

Kauai has really helped me progress in my landscape photography as well as macro photography. I love taking pictures of people don’t get me wrong, but it’s nice to step back and work on images that can hang in more than just one home. Creating art for the masses is truly something I am enjoying.

I have been really working my editing skills to go for more a a vibrant and natural look rather than trendy. It has taken me years to figure out where I would like to be as a photographer and there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

I hope you enjoy my IG page for its diversity in images. I am not one to really care about having a perfect looking page but more to show the work that I am very proud of. I hope you don’t mind that and feel free to follow along if you already don’t.

A few favorites from the in the McBryde Garden. My wife and I did the self guided tour that allows you to walk around the massive research property that takes about 2 hours to fully discover. Felt like a true adventure in Kauai and the best part was that we went during the slower part of the season, so it felt like we had the place all to ourselves. Like I’m talking only 4 other people on hundreds of acres.

A very magical place for photographers and nature lovers. The location also has a very important mission in preserving the native plants of Kauai. If you ever get the chance to visit we highly recommend this on your list of places to explore.

For my photography nerds out there, I am using the Z6II with the native 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. A wonderful travel setup for our time in Kauai.
I did bring my Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens too in case of some macro photography but 99% of the time I used the 24-70mm lens.
