GOLDEN HOUR ✨

I usually don’t shoot in golden hour unless it is requested but I have a blast when shooting in golden hour! I absolutely love the sunlight in this maternity session.

Do you have an idea for your session? Please share it with your photographer! I love taking ideas and watching them turn into reality. I lucked out and get to work with on creating styled shoots and she is phenomenal. (Definitely recommend her if any other photographers are in need)

For Rebecah’s Maternity session last fall, she wanted something a little different than her first two. We have a blast taking these photos, and I can’t wait to show off more!

The last couple weeks (let’s be real, most of summer) have been chaotic for me. It caught up with me the last couple days with our back to back out of town trips to get little man’s teeth taken care of. I hit a creativity block. So, less time worrying about posting on social media, and more time recharging spending time with family is very needed as I gear up to finish out the summer with a couple more sessions. 🫶🏼

What happens when you have siblings standing with you behind the camera. Lots and lots of candid laughing photos. Candids are becoming a favorite, showing the real emotion of the moment. I might be a little bias with these photos because these are my parents. And I feel beyond blessed to have them. 💛

2024 SENIORS! Have you booked your senior photos yet?

When I started photography, almost all my sessions were senior sessions. This last year, I didn’t have a single senior session and it makes me a little sad. Not sad for the reasons your might think, but because these sessions can be so fun, creative, and whatever you are envisioning!

My advice for your senior session, first find a photographer you love! Not only is it important to make sure you love their style, make sure you connect with them and their work! And second, BE YOU. Incorporate things that are important to you into your session, have a creative session, or maybe a simple straight forward session, just find the right fit for you!

My beige flag is wanting to add sunlight to every photo when editing. 😂

Before and afters are my favorite when I edit. Making color that just pops off the screen is what I love to do. This has directed my editing style for years. I may or may not be working on offering some more editing styles, but I just had to show off this colorful session with this beautiful mama who I am blessed to call cousin.

Editing can change a photo so much, it can change not only the ascetic, but how the photo makes you feel (at least for me) Moody, cozy, bright, vibrant, you name it!

My editing style isn’t for everyone, I totally get that! I think it so important to find a photographer with a style you love. There is such a wonderful community of photographers with so many unique styles. Don’t love my style but need a recommendation? Reach out, I’m happy to recommend someone!

Lifestyle newborn sessions are so special. It is safe to say lifestyle is becoming my favorite type of newborn session 🥰 I’m so grateful I was able to do these photos for this sweet family.

We try to make these sessions relaxing, with as little stress as possible. It is all about capturing these moments in time with your newborn and your family.
