I added forget-me-nots to the row of rabbit treats around the doe run. I started with a few raspberries, then added a dozen more because as much as they love the leaves, I still want raspberries. Stuck some willow twigs in for easy access to willow branches. Added hardy banana, now a few flowers, if the squirrels will just leave them bee🤣

I started counting the trees on our hillside… I probably missed one or two but I’ve identified (more or less) 46 different types of trees. On 5 acres.

I want to add a weeping willow. Thought about cypress, too.

This golden rain tree was buzzing loudly this morning, bees everywhere ❤️

It’s a non-native w**d tree, but they came with the house and are quite beautiful so I’m in no hurry to remove them.

I’ve never had a poison ivy incident, plan to keep it that way, but I did make sure I know where the jewel w**d soap is.

Cleaned the nesting boxes under Prudence’s supervision 😊

The in-ground boxes sweat a bit when it’s rainy here. Fresh hay helps, but I may do some remodeling to improve. The boxes do stay 20 degrees cooler than outside on hot days, and 20 degrees warmer than outside on cold days so it’s definitely working. The does still have the next 2 months off from breeding - i remember what it feels like to be pregnant midsummer.
