Normally fairly common in the Tetons, Pronghorn were much tougher to find this year. They had a rough winter which significantly reduced their population due to heavy snow and a devastating respiratory illness introduced by cattle.

We were able to spend some time with this large male who stared me down for a solid 20 seconds. If you swipe ➡️ you'll see the actual making of this photograph with me in the foreground (captured by Mark Ceres).

Harbor Seals are a relatively common sight up and down the coast of Maine. So much so, they're often referred to as "Sea Dogs" which has become a popular adage adopted by baseball teams (Portland Sea Dogs) and Breweries (Sea Dog Brewing).

New print available, "Silent Contemplation." A Bald Eagle surveys an open field at sunset in Tualatin, Oregon.

The Bald Eagle, a symbol of resilience, is a conservation success story. Once endangered by pesticides and habitat loss, it has rebounded due to environmental protections. These majestic birds, with their impressive seven-foot wingspans, now thrive across North America, especially near water bodies. Their recovery is a testament to effective conservation and the enduring spirit of America's natural heritage.
