Krystal & Jeff had one of the most unforgettable wedding days yesterday for quite the variety of reasons 😂 first, please notice the belly laughs happening in the second photo, because that is the true theme of yesterday.

First, a storm rolls through and wipes their outdoor venue out. Like, supposedly trees down, glass shattered everywhere, the entire setup was done. We had to pivot at the last second and move the ENTIRE DAY to a new venue. Turns out you can still have firsts in a 15 year career 😂 but the venue staff and their family members jumped in to help and moved them over to a new location. It wasn’t plan A, it wasn’t plan B, but we made it happen, and the smiles on their faces never faltered. Grateful for clients who are able to just embrace the chaos and just be glad to be in this crazy thing called life together. Yesterday is absolutely a day I’ll never forget.

Listen, I keep saying I’m only going to do photo sessions that include cute dogs (I say this *somewhat* sarcastically) and Sam and Anthony REALLY DELIVERED by bringing their tiny baby 12 week old puppy to their engagement session! And let me tell you - this little guy did better than some grown dogs 😂 and he was a HIT walking around downtown Wilmington with us. Had a blast popping champagne with y’all and getting my puppy snuggles in! 🫶🏼 the countdown until their December wedding at is ON!

A lil for PRIDE MONTH! My friend and I went to hiwire’s pride party on Sunday and let me tell you - WHAT AN AMAZING EVENT. We may have sweat more than any human should, but the live performance by and then all the stunnnnning drag queens were literally 14/10. It was so fun to go and support our friends, show up as allies, shop local goods, dance, sing, and lose my voice a little bit. Also running into future clients I already have booked and meeting them for the first time at pride was pretty epic 😂

Highly recommend eloping on a beautiful island by the water, just the two of you and the ocean waves while a beautiful sunset surrounds you. And that’s exactly what Maisie and Topher did over the weekend, and it was PERFECT. Calm, fun, frolicking around the coast. Just as it should be 🩷
