Well damn, this wedding was almost 3 years ago now and feels like yesterday.
It was an incredibly important wedding for me. It was my cousin who was getting married and we had emotions flowing like the weather changing.
The day stated out sunny and beautiful and couldn’t have been any nicer. Cool temps, blue sky’s and a dog (maple) there so you KNOW it was a good day!
Right before the ceremony started the wind speed REALLY picked up and damn near carried the guests away Mary Poppins style. Couldn’t stop this ceremony though. The groom, groomsmen and bride all arrived to the ceremony in old hot rods built by each of them, and left the same way. Half way through the ceremony the sky darkened but still held out. Fast forward to the beginning of the reception and the sky opened and absolutely down poured for the remainder of the night, but again, some rain damn sure couldn’t hold back this group!
The weather changes, all the time and sometimes multiple times a day, but don’t let that determine your mood for the day. You’re still GETTING MARRIED!
If it rains, f**k it, let it rain and let’s take pictures in it. If it’s sunny, great! Let’s also take pictures in that! But don’t worry about the weather you have no control over that. Focus on what’s most important, YOUR WEDDING!
