I don’t just capture special moments, I capture and document black history too!

I’m following Ms. Magnolia who at 98 still works and properly guiding children have been her mission. She still drives and is on the move more than most. Her 71 year-old daughter Annie Young is also impressive just like her mother.

This video is a piece of my heart. Capturing my great aunt on her land, the history of my grandfather and his siblings, and holding space for the beautiful legacy they built.
With my Aunt Shelia transitioning this past Thursday, this footage hits even deeper. We are speaking her name, sending her absolute love, and lighting the way so she is guided safely and powerfully as she joins the ranks of those who walked before us.

Age is truly just a number. At 98, Ms. Magnolia McLean just walked and opened her first fashion show for WWAY TV yesterday. Thank you Karen Janine Taylor Hicks for the wonderful opportunity!!

This moment just adds to the list of all the amazing accomplishments she has achieved. I have been documenting her journey and look forward to releasing it soon.

I have been working on some incredible projects including documenting local residents. Allow me to introduce to you Ms.Magnolia McLean of Wilmington, NC. A leader and advocate for education and childcare, she owned and ran the first integrated childcare center in the city. She is known to many as ‘grandma Magnolia’.

She is a 98 year old mother of 8 who’s story is truly remarkable. Yesterday she walked in her first fashion show for the WWAY TV 1st annual Senior Fashion Show. Would you believe she still works and worked before this show yesterday?
