When I used to be a Grip in Chicago. I was lucky enough to work with the Coach a few times. He was the real deal. He also would bring a remote control, fart machine and put it by where the Director or the clients were sitting. We’d be rolling whatever Commercial it was. As soon as he finished his line. Press the button. Was hilarious.

Our good friend Marc Bellinger has put together one hell of a horror film festival right here in Wilmington, NC!

THE FIRST CUT HORROR FILM FESTIVAL is happening THIS WEEKEND — October 9th, 10th & 11th!

Three days celebrating independent filmmakers, horror movies, and all things wonderfully weird and macabre!

Friday kicks things off with a launch party at Waterline Brewing, followed by Saturday’s film screenings and after-party at Jengo’s Playhouse. Sunday wraps things up with more films and a final celebration!

Marc has put a tremendous amount of work into bringing this together, and it’s exactly the kind of grassroots creativity that makes Wilmington’s film community so special.

Come out, discover some talented up-and-coming filmmakers, meet some great people, and have a killer time!

Spread the word and support independent filmmaking!

Key Grip Mike Sasser Mike Sasser rigged an iPhone to a crop duster airplane capable of 200 mph!

Not a lot of rigging points on an airplane, so you’ve got to get creative.

Great work requires great people. When you hire the right pros, the answer is rarely “it can’t be done.” It’s “we’ll figure it out.”

Nice work, Mike!
