I have so many sweet moments tucked away that I’m slowly catching up on sharing ✨

Some seasons just move faster than others, and this summer definitely did. With a lot happening both behind the camera and in everyday life, posting here took a little bit of a back seat.

But there are so many beautiful moments I’ve been meaning to share, so I’m finally catching up little by little… and hoping locals’ summer brings slower evenings, quieter beaches, and a little more time to soak it all in 🤍

Extended family sessions have taught me one thing:

If I’m not leaving the session wondering if there’s room for one more at Thanksgiving… I didn’t do my job right. 🙈

By the end, I know who the funny one is, which kid runs the show, and who’s going to keep everyone laughing the entire time.

Somehow, in the middle of all the chaos, wrangling kids, organizing 15+ people, and yelling “Okay, everyone look at me!” a hundred times… getting to know your family ends up being one of the best parts of the night.

Extended family sessions may be a little chaotic, but they’re absolutely some of my favorites. There’s something so special about getting everyone together, capturing all those different personalities, and documenting a season of life you’ll never get back quite the same way ✨🤍

Bald Head Island sessions are always so special, but returning to photograph a family whose memories are deeply rooted on this island makes them even more meaningful. It’s such an honor to preserve another chapter of their story in a place that means so much to them 🤍
