Hey everyone! I’m not sure if I have ever officially introduced myself on here! My name is Carrie Naisang. I am the owner and photographer of Carrie Naisang Photography. I started doing photography because I have always loved family photos but at the time we were at a place we couldn’t afford to get them done, so I decided to teach myself how to take and edit photos. For years my mother-in-law (also a photographer) took our photos (and still does occasionally, in fact these two pictures are courtesy of her), but back in 2019 we moved 6 hours away from her, so for Christmas 2020 around the time our 3rd baby was born, I got my first camera and lens and began by practicing on my kids and some sweet friends who were brave enough to let me practice on them. 6 years later and I’m now a mom of 6 and family pictures are more important to me than ever. Recently a family member very near and dear to my heart suddenly and unexpectedly passed away and I had the honor of taking her pictures the day before she died. We had no idea that those would be the last pictures ever taken of her, but I will be eternally grateful to God that I was able to capture sweet family moments with her before she went to be with Him. Since then photography has gone from a hobby to a passion. Family is soooo important and you never know how long you will have with the people who are most important to you. I love to capture all the little and big moments that you share with the ones you love. Now onto some more light hearted and fun facts about me, I own 25 chickens, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, and a cat, I love baking sourdough, I homeschool my two oldest kids and plan on one day homeschooling all six, I love to sing in the band at our church, and I play piano, just not in front of anyone. I love to decorate my home as if you are stepping into Little Women or Anne of Green Gables (two of my all-time favorite movies, those and the 5 hour pride and prejudice). Perfection in a home is overrated when you have littles, so instead I opt for cozy, welcoming, and homey.
